Answer: Norman Brookes

Norman Brookes was Australian. However, in the Ladies Singles Championships, May Sutton (later Bundy) from the US, became the first non-British player to ever win Wimbledon, when she took the title in 1905. She also won in 1907, the same year as Norman Brookes.

One of America's greatest ever players, Bill Tilden won at Wimbledon in 1920-21 and again in 1930 at the ripe old age of 38.
