Lisa Sherborne (Traylor Howard) worked at "Vanity Fair" and was Sam's ex-fiancée. She was at the White House doing an expose on Sam. In 1998, Sam told Josh that he and Lisa were to be married in September. Lisa didn't like Josh and she broke off her engagement to Sam because he went to work for Bartlet, not because her name would have been Lisa Sherborne-Seaborn.
