Tooms was a very memorable character, played by memorable actor Doug Hutchison. Hutchison has had guest appearances on 'Party of Five', and 'The Practice', among other shows. He has appeared in several films, including 'Con Air' and 'The Green Mile'.
3. Mulder and Scully are brought into the case by a friend of Scully's. Who is this friend?

Answer: Tom Colton

Colton turns out to be less of a friend to Scully than she thought.
