Commissioner Gordon called up Batman to inform him that The Bookworm stole an expensive book from Wayne Manor. He then informed Batman that there was a gigantic cookbook on Cedar and Fifth Streets in Gotham City. Batman told him that he and Robin would check it out.

Batman and Robin went into the gigantic cookbook and it was while they were inside that The Bookworm closed them inside. He then spoke to them on an intercom where he said that he once read a recipe about how to steam a bat. The Bookworm then activated a steamer which started to fill up the gigantic cookbook.

As the episode began to wind down, The Bookworm and his cohorts were spotted at a library. He mentioned to them that there was a nearby vault which contained treasures. Lydia mentioned that one thing they could find in this vault were several Gutenberg Bibles.

The episode concluded at Gotham City Police Headquarters where Commissioner Gordon and Chief O'Hara spoke with Dick Grayson and Bruce Wayne. Commissioner Gordon informed Bruce that he was very generous to cut out a check for five thousand dollars to the Gotham City Prison to be used for their library. Bruce simply said he felt the prison library could use some new books to help aid the convicts in their quest for rehabilitation.
