Adama defends his position of keeping Sharon a secret and aboard Galactica, stating that she is a vital military asset. When Billy raises the point that she may be colluding with other Cylons, Adama responds "If I felt for one second that she posed some kind of a threat to this fleet, I'd pull the trigger on her myself." Billy impresses Roslin by suggesting that the fleet needed to hear Adama say that himself, as well as believe it to be true.

Billy uses his debate team ring to propose to Dee, but she tells him she can't marry him. The next scene is in the lounge aboard Cloud 9, and Dee is on a date with Lee Adama talking about the incident. Ellen says that she's never seen her before, and Apollo then notices a gun tucked into her belt. He then takes Ellen into the bathroom, and while she thinks it is to start a tryst, he is simply preemptively getting out of the firefight.

Apollo takes Ellen's drink, which is topped with dry ice, and proceeds to find his way through the bulkheads to an oxygen sensor. He places the drink just below it and waits for it to slowly read lower and lower levels of oxygen. Using this, he hopes they will have to open the door under the mistaken belief they need to let air into the room.
