Beghe, born on March 12th, 1960 in New York City guest starred as Jeff Lindley, Matt's boyfriend, in this episode. Beghe played the part for a total of eight episodes. He has also been a guest star on the TV shows, "JAG", "Matlock" and "NYPD Blue."

Jo and Reed were seen in bed in the opening scene while in Reed's boat. Reed then started to kiss Jo but she stopped him and told him to not be moving so fast with their relationship. As Jo was about to get up and out of the bed, Reed pulled her into another kiss.

As Reed and Jo continued to talk a little more, Jake called for Reed since he needed to talk to him. On the outside of the boat, Jake was getting together some stuff for Reed since someone was coming to look at his boat since this person chartered it. Jake said they needed to clean up his boat and scrub it down before the person arrived but Reed said he canceled this meeting with the person.

Michael had collapsed in the previous episode so it was in his first scene that Sydney was in his hotel room and then a nurse came in to check Michael's vitals. Michael was muttering to himself so Sydney asked if she could stay in the room with Michael and the nurse said she could for only five minutes since Michael needed rest.

The nurse took Michael's blood pressure and then left him alone with Sydney.

Scott had a small role in this episode as a nurse who tended to Michael near the beginning of the episode. This was the only episode in which Scott had a guest starring role on "Melrose Place." She has also had guest starring stints on the TV shows, "Monk", "ER" and "7th Heaven."

Amanda noticed that Jake woke up a little late in the morning so she remarked how he was off to a late start and then he gave her some news on Reed, as Amanda invested money in Reed's boating venture. Jake told her that Reed cancelled a meeting with a person who was going to charter his boat and then commented how he did not buy Reed's excuse for canceling it. Jake and Amanda decided they should talk to Reed since they both felt he was not putting forth a lot of effort with starting up his boating business.

Sydney was walking around the hospital and then ran into Matt so she asked him if Matt had seen Michael since he was not in his room. Matt informed Sydney that Michael had checked himself out that morning and wanted to get back right to work. Sydney stated how that meant Michael was probably doing better and Matt said that was what Michael claimed.

Billy moved out toNew York City that involved the magazine he was working at and he was seen in an office looking through a magazine with a guy named Greg. During their conversation, Greg offered to hook Billy up with a lady friend of his but Billy said he was already involved with someone. Billy did not live in New York City for that long and, when he left, he went back to Los Angeles.

Jeff was at his apartment and Matt came by to surprise him with two tickets he got to a hockey game. Matt commented on how he knew that Jeff was a hockey fan and that he got them both the tickets as a way of making it up to him since he said something hurtful to Jeff the night before. Jeff then spoke to Matt about them as a couple and how he never envisioned himself in a long term relationship due to his being in the military.

Billy was still in New York City and he took someone out on a date named Andrea. He told her on their date how he felt he could never get used to the kind of food they were eating. Billy then spoke to Andrea about how he was home sick for Los Angeles since he was involved with someone there. Andrea commented on how she was in the same situation when she moved to New York City.
