Batman and Robin surprised The Minstrel and his men when they showed them how they escaped. They hid behind two doors in their hideout and eventually attacked The Minstrel's cohorts. Meanwhile, The Minstrel saw a door so Batman and Robin headed there to chase him but were unable to since he let off a bomb which created fireworks.

Batman and Robin noticed Treble and Bass walking up the stairs but Batman insisted they not chase them since they had bigger fish to fry, primarily in capturing The Minstrel. They then saw Octavia, who held her hands out, so Batman placed her purse back on her arm. Octavia mentioned she was holding her hands out as a means of surrendering but Batman said she looked innocent.

At Gotham City Police Headquarters, Chief O'Hara mentioned to Commissioner Gordon that Batman had not contacted them since last night. Chief O'Hara pondered the possibility of Batman working with The Minstrel, which upset Commissioner Gordon. Chief O'Hara stated he did not want this to be true but he could not help thinking it was the case.

Midway through the episode, Octavia went to where The Minstrel made his broadcasts and he was shocked that Batman did not take her to jail. Octavia informed The Minstrel that Batman actually seemed quite considerate. As she spoke with The Minstrel, Batman and Robin listened in on their conversation from the Batcave.

As they were waiting, they felt the room begin to shake. When Batman went to look out the window, he noticed that nothing was shaking outside.
