3.10 "Scared Straight" Trivia Quiz

The show commenced at Highland High School where Principal McVicker was in his office on the phone with the warden at the state penitentiary. He called for his secretary and mentioned that they were reviving the scared straight program. He said he was going to pick out some troublemaking students to place in the program.

Principal McVicker's secretary asked him if she wanted her to bring him student files on prospective scared straight program students. Principal McVicker responded about how he did not need the files but could select them straight from the most recent yearbook. She got a yearbook and brought it to him.

Principal McVicker started peering through the yearbook and noticed someone that might be a good candidate for the program. He then started to flip through pages and asked his secretary which two boys once flushed every roll of toilet paper in the school down the toilet. She brought up their names and they were indeed Beavis and Butt-head.

Beavis and Butt-head were sent behind bars in order to be a part of the recently revived scared straight program. They were first seen with a prison guard there as he fingerprinted both of them. Since the ink residue remained on their hand, the boys ended up smearing ink on one another.

The duo was then asked to take their mug shot so they were sent to the area where this was done. They snapped images and all of the images contained them smeared in ink everywhere. They were then seen measuring their height by using the photo backdrop while three other men were seen also having gotten their pictures done.

After the pictures were all snapped, a prison guard was present talking to a prisoner who would be leading the scared straight group that day. He claimed that the best way to grab their attention would be to utilize plenty of profane induced terms. He also told him to do his thing with his eye and leg since that would also help captivate them.

The prisoner walked on over to the participants in the scared straight program for that day and started to curse at them. He then asked for the duo's name so they mentioned theirs were Beavis and Butt-head. He repeated it back but he mispronounced Beavis's name as being "Beaver".

The prisoner noticed that the duo seemed to be acting tough so he mentioned to them how he could tell that they were "bad". He stated that they did not know what being "bad" meant. He stated that the best example he could give of himself being "bad" was when he attempted to escape, yet got shot in the leg twelve times during his effort.

The prisoner also made another claim: he stated that he lost his eye and was able to now take it out as a result of once getting a fork stuck in it. The prisoner then leaned over to the boys and showed him his eye, causing them to get really scared. After he inserted his eye back into its socket, he asked the boys if they still thought they were bad.

Beavis and Butt-head met a couple of other prisoners in this episode and Beavis noticed a tattoo on his arm. He leaned over and saw that it had the name of "Iron Maiden" on it to signify the prisoner's love for the rock band. The prisoner's cellmate also commented on how much he appreciated Iron Maiden.
