3.17 "Canoe" Trivia Quiz

The episode began with the boys in one canoe while Mr. Van Driessen and Stewart were together in another canoe as they rowed down the river. Mr. Van Driessen claimed how pleased he was with the school psychiatrist's decision in having the three boys be on the trip with him. Mr. Van Driessen then discussed a brotherhood amongst men.

After Mr. Van Driessen mentioned how not enough men loved one another, the two boys started to laugh since they thought he meant physical love, not emotional. Butt-head told Beavis that Mr. Van Driessen was looking for love so he should be careful. Beavis laughed about how Mr. Van Driessen likely would go for Butt-head first.

Mr. Van Driessen noticed that Beavis was putting a lot of energy into his strokes with the canoe so he told him to keep up the good work. Butt-head simply laughed since he was disinterested in perfecting what it meant to pull good strokes in rowing. However, Butt-head mentioned something that irritated Beavis since he hit Butt-head with an oar.

Beavis and Butt-head started to fight after Beavis hit Butt-head with the oar so they stood up and jostled the canoe around. This led to them both falling out of their canoe. Mr. Van Driessen and Stewart simply looked at them but Mr. Van Driessen did mention how there was one flip side to the incident: all the important gear was in his canoe and not the duo's.

The duo were seen in their underwear while their clothes dried on a clothes line that Mr. Van Driessen designed. He mentioned that they should never fight around in a canoe since clearly it caused them some aggravation. When Mr. Van Driessen mentioned the equipment he had, Beavis inquired as to where the toilet paper was so Stewart answered that it was in their canoe and this unusable.

Mr. Van Driessen informed the boys that they should not worry about their being out of toilet paper since nature had its own toilet paper. He provided them each a leaf and said to use that in case they needed to go to the bathroom. Both boys mentioned how they needed to urinate so Mr. Van Driessen advised them to go a good distance away from their site.

Answer: Pitched a tent

As the boys went over to urinate in the bushes, they overheard Stewart and Mr. Van Driessen talking in the background about pitching a tent. Mr. Van Driessen asked Stewart to put up the pole so they could construct the tent. The way the two talked was amusing to Beavis and Butt-head since they laughed hard over this.

Near the end of the episode, it got dark and Stewart mentioned how he had not seen so much poison ivy in his life. Apparently, the duo touched the poison ivy since they started to scratch for a long while. The boys briefly stopped scratching in order to hear Mr. Van Driessen start singing a song.

Mr. Van Driessen started to play on his guitar and he mentioned to all three boys that he wrote this song for that particular occasion. He stated that the name of it was "Men" so he proceeded to sing it. As he sang, both Beavis and Butt-head commented on how much they hated the song.

Midway through Mr. Van Driessen's playing the song, a bear stumbled upon to the boys' camp site. He attacked Mr. Van Driessen and caused him to scream real loudly as he dragged him around a little bit. However, Mr. Van Driessen survived the ordeal in spite of nobody helping him out.
