Answer: Ben Linus

All of the above characters were in this episode of "Lost" except for Ben Linus. For the first five seasons, the character of Ben appeared in a total of seventy six episodes. Michael Emerson originated the role and, in 2007, he was first nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

However, he lost to his co-star, Terry O'Quinn who played John Locke on "Lost."
2. In the first flashback we saw, Sayid was a chef in a restaurant in what European city?

Answer: Paris

The episode began, with flashbacks of Sayid, and he was seen as a chef in Paris, France. He got a note, from a co-worker, to go see a fellow Iraqi named Sami, who told him he cooked a good meal. Sami told Sayid he would like to have Sayid work, in his restaurant, and Sayid told him he would like to visit the restaurant first before he made his decision.
3. Which actor played Sami in this episode?

Answer: Shaun Toub

Toub, a native of Tehran, Iran portrayed Sami, a guy who offered Sayid a job, in this episode of "Lost." For the first five seasons Toub appeared in just this episode. Toub has also guest starred on the TV shows, "The Mentalist", "The Unit", and "The Sopranos." In 2004, he appeared in the Oscar winning film, "Crash."

Sami invited Sayid to visit his restaurant to see if Sayid wished to work for him. When Sayid got there, Sami introduced him to his wife, Amira. Sayid noticed that Amira had burns on her arm but, before he knew it, he was attacked and chained in the basement. Amira identified him as the man who tortured her in Iraq, when Sayid was with the Iraqi Republican Guard.

Sami brought Amira, to Sayid, and he beat up Sayid in front of his wife. Sami went to get an iron bar, to use on Sayid, but Amira stepped in and told Sami not to use it on Sayid. Sami listened to his wife and did not use the iron bar on Sayid.

The day after Sami chained up Sayid, in his restaurant, and also beat him, Amira went to talk to Sayid and tell him about how she rescued a cat that was being tortured. She informed Sayid she did not blame the cat for attacking her since, due to Sayid, she knew what it felt like to be unsafe.

A man named Mikhail Bakunin lived there and John, Sayid, and many others saw on a monitoring video in the previous episode, "The Cost of Living." Everyone planned to enter the farmhouse, except for Rousseau, since she said she did not want to get involved.
10. In this episode, Hurley played ping-pong with whom?

Answer: James "Sawyer" Ford

Throughout this episode, you could see some matches of ping pong, played between Hurley and Sawyer. Sawyer loses the matches and, as a deal for losing, he agreed to give up some magazines (for his gun) to Hurley. Hurley had a change of heart, for Sawyer, and gave him some of his own gun magazines and told Sawyer he did not have to give him anything.
