He looked across the street and saw there was a funeral parlor and, as he walked towards it, a car nearly ran him down.

After Juliet told Sawyer how it would be pointless to wait until nighttime to take down the three Others and rescue Bernard, Jin, and Sayid, Sawyer told her to be quiet since he heard a sound. Both Juliet and Sawyer then saw Hurley driving a van and got out of his way. Hurley plowed down one member of The Others and he then stopped the bus and was about to get out but Sawyer stopped him.
