The episode began with the duo watching a television show that featured a buff gentleman by the name of Joey. Joey brought up to a woman how it would go against all of his principles if he was to make love to her right then and there. She told him how much she understood and then the program ended.

Just as the program ended, Beavis complained because there was nothing good on television that day. Beavis then suggested that the two of them could do some homework in order to pass up the time. Butt-head laughed at Beavis for making such a weird suggestion since neither of them completed homework.

At the high school, Mr. Van Driessen said it appeared as if the nominations were about to be processed for various class offices. He spoke to Beavis and Butt-head about a great opportunity they had before them if they decided to run for office. He mentioned how they should run for Treasurer and, once he mentioned that the Treasurer handled money, this intrigued the boys so they ran for Treasurer.

While in class, Beavis and Butt-head did a lot of sniffing while they waited for Mr. Van Driessen to make a speech about the class offices. As Beavis sniffed, he claimed to Butt-head how he smelled like a man. Butt-head simply laughed at him and said that Beavis should be proud for how he smelled.

A female classmate objected to Beavis and Butt-head running for a class office since they were not equipped with the skills to enact any office's duties. Beavis and Butt-head made a derogatory comment to her so Mr. Van Driessen asked them to stay after class for a chat. Mr. Van Driessen thought it would be a good idea for the boys to read some books in order to help them with their campaign for treasurer. Beavis and Butt-head gave a very general speech to a bunch of students about why it would be good for them to be voted in as Treasurer. The person in charge then opened the floor up for questions from the students. Midway through the show, there was a televised debate where Beavis and Butt-head faced off against their competitor for treasurer. The woman turned to Beavis and Butt-head after the opponent claimed he would focus like a laser on the budget and she mentioned how they were catching up in the polls.

She asked them how, if elected, what was the first thing they would do but the boys did not have an answer for her.

After Beavis and Butt-head were unable to answer the lady's question on what their first priority would be if they were elected Treasurer, their opponent stood up and called them a bad name. As he sat back down, Butt-head placed a firecracker near him that exploded, causing a slight injury. The opponent yelled at the boys but they merely laughed at him.

Near the end of the episode, Beavis and Butt-head were in Mr. Van Driessen's room so he came in to tell the boys the voting results. He claimed that they lost and got just one vote. Butt-head thought he meant that they lost by one vote but he corrected them by stating they got just one overall vote.
