The episode opened up with a view of the island and the inhabitants of it doing various activities. Claire was seen holding Aaron, and Desmond watched her as she held him and eventually put him down for a nap. Desmond got up and approached Claire and told her she had a problem with her roof.

He recommended she move down the beach, for the night, so he could repair the roof but Claire rejected his offer.

After Claire denied Desmond's offer to move down the beach for the night, so he could fix her roof, he continued to press her to reconsider. Just then, Charlie came up and asked Desmond what the problem was. Desmond told Charlie he wanted to repair Claire's roof so Charlie said he could do it himself. Charlie remarked that he even tried to build a church on the island.

Answer: Juliet Burke

Juliet came to see Jack, while he was being held captive, and she brought him some breakfast. She asked Jack how he was doing and he said he was doing fine. Juliet noticed that Jack appeared frustrated so he asked her if he would keep watching cartoons or if he would be freed. Juliet asked Jack if he liked blueberry since she made him blueberry muffins but he asked her if he could talk to Ben. Juliet informed Jack he could do that but Ben would not tell him anything.

Right after Sawyer told Kate about his plan to help them escape from captivity, the show cut to a flashback of Sawyer boxing. Sawyer knocked out his opponent and the referee blew his whistle and told Sawyer the boxing match was done. It was revealed that Sawyer did his boxing while he was behind bars in prison.

Sawyer was planning to bust himself and Kate out of captivity and he got Ben to come over to his cage. Ben did and Sawyer caught him and pushed a button to try and electrocute Ben, to further his plan to escape from captivity, but Ben did not get shocked. Ben notified Sawyer that they turned off the electricity.

Ben entered Sawyer's cage, after Sawyer attempted to electrocute him, and he attacked Sawyer. He brought Sawyer to a room, right next to where Jack was being held, and Sawyer was strapped down to a table. Ben ordered someone named Jason to inject Sawyer with something that would give him pain and they had Sawyer bite down on a wooden block to help ease the pain. Jack could hear Sawyer, from the other room, screaming in pain but he could not help Sawyer.

It was revealed that they inserted a pacemaker in Sawyer.

Right after Sawyer got his injection (see "Interesting Info" section from question six for more), Ben came in and he brought a rabbit with him. The rabbit was in a cage and he laid the cage right on Sawyer's stomach. Ben kept shaking the cage, faster and faster, and Sawyer told him to stop. When Ben stopped, the rabbit rolled over and died.

Midway through the episode, there was a flashback where the woman who pressed charges against Sawyer, went to visit him in prison. She asked Sawyer how he was doing and he told her not well, considering that she helped get him convicted by pressing charges against him.

She reminded Sawyer that he conned her and had to be punished. The woman took out a picture and it had a baby girl on it. Sawyer asked who was in the picture and the woman told him it was his daughter. The woman was the mother of Sawyer's daughter and she wanted Sawyer to write her a letter. Sawyer refused to write a letter, to his baby daughter, since he felt she was not his child.

After the flashback that involved Sawyer and the mother of his daughter, we saw Kate and Sawyer back in their cages. Kate told Sawyer that she felt, if she could climb to the top of the cage, she could escape since the bars were spaced far apart. Sawyer told her to not bother to even try and Kate was upset he would say this but he told her to be smart and not risk her safety.

Juliet decided to bring Jack to help save a woman's life who had just been shot in the abdomen. Ben wondered why Juliet would bring Jack to the woman and she told Ben that Jack was a doctor and he could help her out. Jack did immediate surgery, on the woman, and he saved her life. The woman was identified as Danny's wife.
