She gave even more specifics as to the strangling so that it would help Kate out with resolving the murder. Kate went off on what Lanie said to see if she could find a suspect to Naomi's murder.

Early on in the episode, Richard and Kate caught Colin Hunt and initially believed that he was the killer but he revealed that he was with Scotland Yard. When they spoke with Colin, he revealed that this case was personal since he once worked for the victim's father. Colin was seen throughout the episode assisting the team in big ways on resolving the case.

Colin Hunt went to a function in this episode and Kate went along with him as his escort and it was there that they felt they would find some clues about the murder. This led the team, particularly Colin, to believe that he was the killer.
