The duo immediately raised their hands, much to Mr. Van Driessen's surprise. In the following scene, he provided them specific instructions on how to handle incoming calls.

Mr. Van Driessen advised the boys that the people who would be calling were in pain so it was pertinent they not pass judgment on them. He demanded that they comport themselves in a way to which they were a friend to the caller. As Mr. Van Driessen departed the room, he asked the boys to make the effort on being more polite, especially to female callers.

The phone rang shortly so Butt-head went to answer it and a woman was on the other end. She expressed to him how concerned she was that her body was not developing as quickly as other women. Butt-head simply laughed and joked with Beavis about what the woman told him so she hung up.

Beavis took the second call to the crisis line and someone spoke about a personal, embarrassing issue. Beavis said that the person sounded familiar and then he realized that it was Stewart who called. Beavis joked about what Stewart told him, causing the young man to turn red before hanging up.

Butt-head answered the third call and a young lady spoke to him about her boyfriend. She claimed that she found him rude because he wanted to have sex while she was not ready for the experience. Butt-head told her that it would be best for her to have sex as soon as possible.

Midway through the show, there was a scene in class where Beavis and Butt-head sat while Butt-head leaned over to give Beavis some advice. He asked him to be nice to every female since they then might locate the woman Butt-head spoke to on the crisis line. Beavis obliged to Butt-head's request.
