White had a guest starring role in this episode as Ronald Marx. This was the only episode of the series in which he played the character, although he played Dr. Lane in a later episode of "Melrose Place." He has also guest starred on the TV series', "Murder, She Wrote", "Dream On" and "L.A. Heat."

The episode began at Wilshire Memorial Hospital where Peter was getting ready for work so Michael entered the break room to ask him what was going on with the hospital. He then mentioned there was a rumor going around that the hospital was being sued. Peter said that it was him, not the hospital, who was being sued and mentioned to Michael that he was being charged with unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.

Bobby was also with her so she mentioned there was a job opening for a management position that she would like. Billy entered Allison's apartment without knocking so she scolded him for not doing that so he merely mentioned how he did not know she was awake. Billy brought her a latte from the coffee shop just so he could get a couple minutes to talk to her. They then started to talk about Amanda, as it appeared like Billy and Amanda were back in a relationship, but Billy informed Allison how he and Amanda did not get back together.

Peter went to the nurse's station at Wilshire Memorial Hospital to get a message and he saw Amanda. She said that she was there to apologize to him so Peter told her that he was going to see someone who was a candidate for a heart transplant. Peter took a jab at Amanda, stating she should look into getting a heart someday.

Jane was in her apartment so Richard entered in and apologized to her for showing up unannounced. Jane said it was no problem so she asked Richard what he needed. He informed her that she would like to show up at the office some more so Jane told him she felt more productive doing her designs at home. Richard informed Jane how there was a major East Coast retailer wanting to do business with Hart-Mancini Designs.

Jake went to Hart-Mancini Designs and entered Richard's office. Richard assumed he was there to see Jane so he told Jake that Jane was out for the day. Jake told him he was actually there to see him. Jake informed Richard about how he and Jane were now a couple and he did not want Richard interfering in their relationship. Richard told him that he understood what he was saying.

Jane and Richard went on a business trip to New York City and it was there that things turned violent. There was one scene in which Jane complained to Richard about Jake so he told her that she deserved better than Jake. Richard then made a move on Jane but she told him she was not interested. Jo helped out her friend, Laurie, who left her husband and needed a place to stay for a couple of days. In this episode, Laurie found a place for herself and her son to live so she moved out of Jo's apartment. Jo noticed some marks on Laurie's son's body so she took him to see a doctor. Near the end of the episode, Laurie confronted her about it and said she had no right to take her son to see a doctor without her permission. Jo apologized and said she was concerned about her son.
