When Barney enters, he says he has been here one or two times, but when a Chinese man greets him, he says maybe three times. Later, when the gang is going to the courthouse to see if the waiting period can be waived, a group of Chinese men talk to him, and mention the catchphrases "Suit up!" and "Legen... wait for it... dary!" meaning that Barney has taught these men his catchphrases. Later, Barney plays a gambling game with the Chinese men. Barney admits that he has been to Atlantic City tons of times.

When the gang enters the casino, they say that they only have twenty minutes left of being unmarried. When Robin is getting a different outfit and Lily is getting the bouquet, the other three guys are about to go to get a veil, but Ted suggests that they gamble and just say they couldn't find one, and Marshall agrees.

However, Barney decides to look for a veil, and gets it from a girl who wasn't ready to be married yet in less than two minutes, leaving the three eighteen minutes left to spend in Atlantic City having fun.

Answer: Blackjack

Lily asks the first person she sees, an old lady playing at a slot machine. When she asks her if she is a ship captain, she snaps back, "This is my machine!" She then finds a ship captain that is willing to put his boat in their slip. Robin then goes up and talks to her, asking why she has to get married today.

When Robin is saying, "You will never find a ship captain!" they are interrupted by Marshall, who shouts that they had found a ship captain while playing blackjack, the first person that they talked to.

Answer: $5,000

The offer makes Lily agree immediately, and she tells everybody to just hand over their cash, and not think about it, just do it. The gang is reluctant to, however. But then Barney says that he can earn the money by playing a game with the Chinese guys, translated to "Okay or is Not Okay", his old gamblers.

He says he has been to Atlantic City many times, but could never win that game, and lost his entire life savings. But he says that he feels hot, and that he swears, or oaths, as he says, that he will win and get the money.

The others are dubious, but Barney says he is absolutely positive he is going to win.

Answer: Marshall

When Lily asks Ted if he knows what is going on, he says he doesn't have a clue. When Robin asks Ted if he thinks Barney is winning, he says that he is not sure if Barney is even playing. But after a while, Marshall understands, and gives Barney advice on how to win, which Barney rejects at first, but realizes that Marshall is right, takes his advice, and then wins.

Answer: A jelly bean

After taking of Marshall's advice, Barney bets what he has and lets the six girls come over. After a moment, he picks one of the hands, and the Chinese guys count slowly to three in Chinese. On three, the girl opens her hand, and the jelly bean is inside. Barney shouts that he wins in Chinese, and the gang screams in delight. Barney also puts his mouth to the girls hand while the gang is screaming and eats up the jelly bean.

This gives Barney all the money the gang needs to marry Lily and Marshall over international waters.

Answer: One hour

Barney says that he will wear the ducky tie again if Marshall and he turn their phones off for one hour. However, right when they turn off their phones, Lily calls to tell them she is in labor. She places seventeen voicemails to Barney, some voicemails shouted. Marshall gets extremely drunk during that one hour.

Answer: Tequila

Marshall and Barney both order one hundred shots of tequila after Barney says that he will wear the ducky tie if they turn off their phones for an hour and Marshall becomes mythologically, magnificently drunk, so drunk that he will need subtitles when he speaks in order to be understandable.

After each shot, he gets more drunk, and eventually gets so drunk his words are not understandable and mixed up, and he also staggers and walks around in a weird way. He has to climb up two stairs in the casino while being extremely drunk, which he later considers to be the hardest challenge he ever faced in his life.

Answer: No motorcycles on the casino floor

Since Barney and Marshall are so drunk, they cannot drive, so they try to win a motorcycle. However, later they realize that there is only one machine you can play on to win the motorcycle, and they were playing on the wrong machine the whole time. Barney comes up with a new plan, and tells Marshall to meet him at the entrance in five minutes.

In five minutes, Barney drives the motorcycle to the entrance, except he stole it. The security grabs him off the motorcycle and brings him to another room.

They ask Barney why they should not call the authorities right now, but Barney asks for them to show them a rule that he could not drive a motorcycle on the casino floor. A man who read the entire rule book concedes that there is no rule that says that.

They then let Barney go and put the sign in the casino that says "No motorcycles on the casino floor". According to the older Ted, that sign is still there to this day.

Answer: Wait For It

When Barney says that he will get Marshall back to New York for the birth of his son, he says he only wants one thing in return. Before even telling him, Marshall tells him he can't have sex with Lily. Barney hesitates and says that he will only ask a second thing in return. Immediately Marshall says he is not naming his child Barney, and Barney hesitates again.

He then says that he will only ask for a third thing in return: to name their child's middle name, which will be Wait For It. He then uses his name as an example, and says the child's name would be something like Barney Wait For It Eriksen! Marshall agrees that that is the coolest middle name of all time.

When Marshall tells the rest of the gang, they think the same too. The child ends up being named Marvin "Wait For It" Eriksen.
