1. Lindsey Willows
Answer: CSI: Crime and Investigation
Lindsey Willows is the daughter of Catherine Willows, one of the principals in 'CSI' for eleven seasons. After a messy divorce from her husband Eddie, Catherine has had to raise Lindsey as a single parent. In the series Lindsey ages from a young child to a somewhat rebellious teen-ager to a mature young woman, who appears in the series finale as the new member of the CSI team. Three different actresses played the role during the run of the series.
2. Rusty Beck

Rusty Beck, played by Graham Patrick Martin, appeared in the closing episodes of 'The Closer' and in its sequel series 'Major Crimes' as a recurring character. Abandoned by his mother and her boyfriend at age fifteen, he has had to make a dangerous living on the street as a male prostitute.
At the end of 'The Closer' he witnesses a murderer burying his victim and has to be protected by the police. During the run of 'Major Crimes' he is taken into the home of Captain Sharon Raynor (Mary McDonnell) and eventually adopted by her.
His redemption from troubled youth to self-confident young adult is one of the recurring themes of the story.
3. Parker Booth

Parker Booth is the son of Seeley Booth, the male lead character in "Bones", and his girl-friend Rebecca. The two never married although Booth had proposed to her when she became pregnant. Parker is named after a war comrade of Booth who died serving with him in Afghanistan.
At the start of the series Parker is four years old, living with his mother but seeing his father on a regular basis. When Booth and Bones marry in season 9, Parker returns from school in England to be his father's best man.
4. Grace & Charlie Williams

When this reboot of the popular series of the 1970s made its debut in 2010, Danny Williams has transferred to the Hawaii 5-0 task force to be near his young daughter Grace (Teilor Grubbs), since her mother, Danny's ex-wife, and her new husband have relocated to Honolulu. Danny's ex-wife has a son Charlie (Zach Sulzbach) in season 5 who turns out to have been fathered by Danny and not the new husband.
5. Kyle Harmon

Before Lieutenant Horatio Caine became in charge of the Crime Lab in Miami, he worked undercover under the name 'John Warden' and unknown to him fathered a son by his girl-friend Julia. Their son, Kyle Harmon, was raised in foster care and ran afoul of the law.
He was blackmailed by a fellow offender to perform a kidnapping and during the investigation Horatio has a DNA test performed and discovers that Kyle is his son. Acquitted of the charge, Kyle re-unites with his mother, begins a warm relationship with his father, and eventually joins the Army to serve in Afghanistan.
6. Opie Taylor

Ron Howard played Opie Taylor on "The Andy Griffith Show", perhaps the best-known child of any law enforcement officer on television. The show opened and closed with a memorable and touching scene where father and son are going fishing, to a musical theme called "The Fishing Hole". Ron Howard went on to star in the television show "Happy Days" and then became a respected and award-winning director.
7. Jack Hotchner

When "Criminal Minds" made its debut in 2005, Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) is the director of the Behavior Analysis Unit and he and his wife Haley are expecting their first child. He commented that all the names that they liked had associations with violent criminals, but they named their son "Jack" anyway. Jack appeared in a minor recurring role until the start of season 12 when he and his father were written out of the show.
8. Laurel Pride

"NCIS: New Orleans" was the second successful spin-off of NBC's very successful show "NCIS". It made its debut in 2014 and featured Scott Bakula in the role of Dwayne "King" Pride, Supervisory Special Agent in charge of the New Orleans branch of NCIS.
He and his wife Linda separated during the first season and became divorced in the second. Their daughter Laurel (Shanley Caswell), studying music at Louisiana State University, has a minor recurring role in the series.
9. Jack & Sean Regan

The popular crime drama "Blue Bloods" made its debut in 2010. It is set in New York City and stars Tom Sellick as Francis "Frank" Regan as the NYC Commissioner of Police, a position which his father Henry had held in the past. His four children have all followed him into law enforcement: Danny as a detective, Joe as a detective who was murdered before the series opened, Erin in the District Attorney's office, and Jamie as a police office, promoted to Sergeant in season 9. Danny Regan has two sons, Jack and Sean, about ten and eight when the series began.
A recurring feature of the show is the Sunday lunch following Mass when the entire family sits around the dinner table.
10. Richard "Dickie" Stabler
Answer: Law & Order: SVU
For twelve seasons Eliott Stabler (played by Christopher Meloni) was the lead male character on "Law and Order: SVU". He and his wife Kathy have five children, including the twins Richard (known as "Dickie" for the first years of the show) and Elizabeth who are six when the show began its run in 1999. We see Dickie more frequently that most of Eliott's other children and in one episode he alerts the detectives to a video game that lies behind a violent crime.
In another episode he comments wryly that being the son of a cop has done helped his social life.
