'Coupling' Season Four Trivia Quiz

We hear one side of a telephone conversation between Steve and Jeff. Jeff is apparently calling from the aeroplane and discussing a fellow passenger's surgically enhanced chest and whether or not implants present any kind of danger at high altitudes!
The title of this episode refers to the same period of time (nine and a half minutes) spent by the different characters at the bar.

We are shown the name of the shop when Oliver hands Susan his business card at the bar. As a result of a communication breakdown, Susan mistakenly believes him to be a gynaecologist! This is Oliver's first appearance in 'Coupling'. The role of Oliver Morris is played by Richard Mylan.

Susan calls Sally at Patrick's house because she is feeling emotional during her pregnancy. Before they know it, they also have Steve, Patrick, Oliver and Jane in on the conversation!

Olivia Caffrey plays the role of Oliver's heavily pregnant Irish ex-girlfriend. She befriends Susan at an ante-natal class. Oliver is unaware that she is pregnant.

Patrick has been desperately trying to escape from what he terms 'The Enchanted Glade of his One True Love' and return to his own flat. Sally wants him to stay every night and this comes to a head one evening over dinner. Patrick is determined not to consume any alcohol so that he might drive home; however, Sally has been refilling his glass! As he prepares to leave, a drunken Sally is advised by Susan to sing 'All By Myself' but she mishears and sings a song that she and Jane made up about Susan being a happy elf! Patrick stays nevertheless.

Oliver is anxious about his exceptionally pert nipples and attempts to hide them under a jumper. Unfortunately, he has selected a blue sweater with 'Bring Back Dr. Who' in large letters on the back. He doesn't realise this until he is in the lift going up to Sally's flat, and since he has no opportunity to change it, he removes it completely!

Sally agrees to be Susan's back-up but isn't at all comfortable with the responsibility and finds that she has to go to her 'special place' complete with string quartet in order to seek solace! Sally then persuades Jane to be her back-up. Jane in turn persuades Oliver who persuades Patrick. Eventually, the whole group ends up attending the ante-natal classes.

The icing on the cake is when the stand-in teacher of the class recalls a dinner with the group during which the topic of conversation was Steve's penchant for the film 'Lesbian Spank Inferno'.

It is actually Jane who strips for Oliver. Sally is in a relationship with Patrick, even though it is in this episode that she confirms that he slept with Jane.

Susan and Sally are sitting in their bar together when Susan decides to call Steve who is in the other bar with Patrick. Before she has the chance to tell Steve why she is calling, he reveals that Patrick accidentally told Oliver and him that he has slept with Jane.

In the confusion, the phones are switched and Patrick ends up telling Sally that he slept with Jane. Susan's actual reason for calling is almost lost in the muddle: her waters have broken!

Answer: an engagement ring

He has labelled a box with instructions to Sally that she is not to open it. Of course, Sally opens this in a fit of jealous temper probably expecting to find the video tape of Jane. When Sally finds the ring, she doesn't at first think it's for her. Patrick doesn't propose. Perhaps we'll start the fifth series with a newly engaged couple! Thanks for playing.
