Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. It was known on "Dallas" that Sue Ellen's sister Kristen was the biological mother of Christopher even before Bobby and Pam adopted him. But who the father was less certain. Which of the following men was not a possibility to be Christopher's biological father?

Answer: Ray Krebbs

After Sue Ellen told J.R. that it was Kristen who shot him, Kristen said that she was pregnant with J.R.'s child, which later made Bobby assume that J.R. was Christopher's father. However, Kristen miscarried that baby and didn't tell anyone. After Jeff Faraday showed Bobby some checks Kristen received from a Jordan Lee, Bobby assumed that Lee is the father.

While Lee admitted he had an affair with Kristen and sent her those checks, he had a DNA test to prove that he was not the father. Christopher's biological father was Jeff Faraday.
2. How did Christopher find out he was adopted?

Answer: He overheard Miss Ellie and Clayton talking.

Bobby and Pamela were going to wait until Christopher was older to tell him, but he found out before time. This was a pivotal point in Christopher's character development that continues on into the revival series where he always felt like an outsider for not being a blood Ewing.
3. When Lisa Alden came to Dallas and fought for custody of Christopher, her nephew, why did Christopher think Bobby would not fight to keep him?

Answer: Bobby had Lucas

Charley let it slip to Christopher that Lucas was really Bobby's son. Since Christopher already felt excluded because he was adopted, he assumed Bobby didn't want him any more since he now had a biological son.
4. For how much money did Bobby "buy" Christopher for prior to officially adopting him?

Answer: $25,000

Jeff Faraday was a drug dealer in desperate need of money to the point where he was willing to sell his son. Bobby bought Christopher because he feared Faraday would sell him to someone else and Bobby thought this was a quick way to adopt a baby rather than go through the lengthy adoption process. This was risky and illegal but Bobby managed to keep it a secret.
5. Having been abandoned by his mother, Christopher started to resent women and blamed them for the world's troubles. Which woman made him change his mind?

Answer: Cally Harper

J.R.'s new wife Cally spent time with both her stepson John Ross and Christopher and Christopher began trusting women again. This bond with Cally allowed him to accept his father's marriage to April Stevens, whom he also came to like.
6. What kind of industry was Christopher interested in when the revival series began?

Answer: Alternative energy

Christopher believed that the future of energy lied in alternative fuels such as methane and had developed a way to drill for natural gas and methane. This contrasted sharply with John Ross who lived and breathed oil.
7. Christopher fell smitten with Rebecca Sutter and married her on Southfork. Why did the two get divorced?

Answer: Rebecca turned out to be Christopher's cousin Pamela

Rebecca was actually Cliff Barnes' daughter, Pamela, and the two plotted to swindle the Ewings' company away. When she was exposed, Christopher filed for an annulment, which was denied. They divorced peacefully when Pamela said she was pregnant and Christopher didn't want his children to see their parents constantly fighting and bitter.
8. After discovering his mother could be alive, where did Christopher travel to find her and ask for her shares to Barnes Global?

Answer: Switzerland

Christopher's mother, Pamela (not to be confused with his ex-wife of the same name), left the city of Dallas after she crashed into an oil tanker that exploded, leaving her burned across her entire body. She didn't want Bobby or Christopher to see her like that so she fled. Christopher always believed he was abandoned by her as he was too young to really understand what happened. Pamela had gone to Switzerland for an experimental treatment. Christopher went there and met up with her doctor who told him that she died in Dubai of pancreatic cancer.

He gave Christopher a note from his mother which explained everything. He finally understood why his mother left and forgave her.
9. What was the name of the ranch hand who Christopher fell smitten with in the beginning of the third season of the revival series?

Answer: Heather

Heather worked on Southfork as a rancher, similar to what Ray Krebs did on the original series. However, John Ross was obsessed with drilling on Southfork and by doing so, he threatened the ranch and the jobs of all the ranchers, including Heather.
10. In the third season finale of the revival series, Christopher died when Elena accidentally shot him in an attempt to kill Nicholas Trevino.

Answer: False

This was a piece of clever editing. Elena confronted Nicholas about him killing her brother in Nicholas' apartment. She pulled out a gun and shot him in the shoulder. Christopher, who was in the elevator on his way up to save Elena, heard the shot and assumed Nicholas had hurt Elena. Just as his elevator door opened, Nicholas was moving closer to an elevator and that door opened just as Elena shot again and missed. The producers set it up so the audience would think Christopher was in that elevator, but he was actually in a different one.

In the same episode, however, Christopher did die when his car exploded with him in it on the orders of Trevino.
