Ray and Lucy's rendezvous are never mentioned again once it is revealed he is her uncle in Season 4. By that point, they had stopped having affairs and Ray became ore of a guardian to Lucy. Ray also had a relationship with Pamela prior to her marrying Bobby.

Ray initially intended not to tell Jenna about the affair but was forced to after the attack.

Ray actually would have become an extremely poor man because he never would have discovered Jock was his father. In his dream, J.R. discovers that Jock would have died much sooner than he did before he discovered Ray was his son. Ray would have been unhappy as just a regular ranch hand. Ray also would have been injured in a rodeo and constantly walk with a limp. Nonetheless, Ray seemed to be happily married with the family he always wanted.
