While not much is known about their relationship, it is understood that it ended friendly. This is hardly ever mentioned again on the series, although Ray does bring it up to Jenna Wade when the two begin seeing one another.

J.R could not stand the thought of Cliff winning a state senate seat. When he tells Pam that he is going to tell everyone Cliff is gay, Pamela responds and says that no one will believe it because Cliff once a girlfriend in New York City. When J.R. investigated, he found out the woman died during an illegal abortion procedure.

Answer: She fell off a horse

While riding a horse, Pam lost control and fell off. Pamela was initially hesitant about her pregnancy after discovering that her family has a history of the inherited genetic disorder called neurofibromatosis, which may have caused the early deaths of her baby sister.

While Pamela never had an affair with Ward, it was certainly on everyone's mind once Sue Ellen found out about their relationship. Pamela would not meet and marry (in the dream season) Mark Graison until later on in the series.

Sue Ellen was already living with Dusty at the Southern Cross Ranch, but she did not have John Ross with her. Pamela felt awful, not because she essentially stole John Ross away from J.R., but because she wanted a child badly and with John Ross gone, there were no children at Southfork.

Pamela was increasingly aware that the Ewing-Barnes feud was escalating even further and that someone was likely to be hurt. That is why she sided with Miss Ellie in trying to overturn Jock's will that was causing a rift between Bobby and J.R. After J.R. attempts to secure a refinery, Cliff is supposed to fly out and stop it.

However, when he disappears his mother takes his place and she is killed when the plane crashes. That is the final straw for Pamela who refused to be a part of any more bloodshed.

When she was still married to Bobby and unsure what she was going to do, Pamela went away to France with Mark Graison when Afton called her and said Katherine was up to no good. Pamela flies back to Dallas only to be deceived by her sister's lies again and becomes furious with Afton.

In another instance, Katherine plans a dinner at a restaurant with her family but has also set it up so Bobby and another woman, who Katherine implies are in a relationship together, will be seen by Pamela. Afton again warns her that it is too much of coincidence they should run in to Bobby and the woman there since there are too many restaurants in the city and suggests that Katherine planned the whole thing.

Answer: The Caribbean and Hong Kong

J.R. had paid a pilot to mislead Pamela into thinking Mark had gone to the Caribbean. He also paid a doctor at a clinic there into telling Pamela that Mark had left to go somewhere else. Pamela discovers J.R.'s deception, which he concocted to keep Pam occupied and away from Bobby. Later on, however, another doctor tells Pamela that he treated Mark in Hong Kong.

But that patient, however, turns out to be someone who looks like Mark.

Answer: In the shower

According to an interview with Victoria Principal, she did not know that Bobby was in the shower. When she filmed the scene, the shower was empty and the directors told her to look surprised. It wasn't until the episode aired did she find out Bobby was in the shower.

The scene with Bobby in the shower wasn't actually filmed for "Dallas." It was actually part of a soap commercial Patrick Duffy had filmed.

Pamela actually survived the accident but became severely burned. She ran away from the hospital to escape the Ewing drama. Pamela appeared briefly later on in the series, this time played by Margaret Michaels, as one last good-bye for Pam.

It is revealed in the revival series that while going through the plastic surgery to recover from her burns, it was discovered that Pam had pancreatic cancer and died in Switzerland. Cliff Barnes was aware of this but he withheld the information from Bobby and Christopher so he could control Pam's shares of their mother's company that Pam had left to Christopher.
