Lindsay's father is really skeptical about Lindsay going to any rock concert, and tells her he's going to listen to the record, forwards and backwards, and then he'll decide.

Lindsay thought that Kim hit something like a squirrel, but Kim wouldn't go back to look. The next day in school Millie is crying and tells Lindsay and Kim that someone hit her dog, Goliath, and didn't even stop. Lindsay and Kim realize that Kim hit Goliath, and Kim feels really bad, but she can't tell Millie.

In class, Kim tells Millie about when she lost her dog. Kim and Lindsay later help Millie bury Goliath.

Gloria Haverchuck tells Bill that a friend of hers is going to be their guest for dinner. Bill is upset to find out that his mother has been seeing Coach Fredricks for awhile, and that it's getting serious. During dinner, Bill and Coach Fredricks don't agree on anything.

After Kim starts hanging around with Millie, Lindsay worries that Millie will start getting into trouble. Lindsay tells her parents that she wants to go to keep an eye on Millie.

Ken replied that Nick shouldn't use his own name. The line in the song "Is your green Army jacket the only thing keeping you warm tonight?" pretty much gave away who it was about.

Coach Fredricks gets carried away with wanting to win and ends up running Bill off of the go-cart track. Bill gets really upset and goes to the car. Coach Fredricks apologizes to Bill and explains that he really loves Gloria, she deserves to be happy, and he thinks he can make her happy.

Having heard the song before, Ken grabs Nick's guitar before he can begin singing for Lindsay, pretends he's a rock star and smashes the instrument on the street. Nick is upset, but Ken says this was the biggest favor he ever did for Nick.

Millie's mother comes over to where all the freaks are hanging out before they go to the concert, and she and Millie argue about whether she's going to the concert or not. Millie feels bad, and when she's offered a beer she says yes. Just before she takes a swig, Kim blurts out that she killed Millie's dog. Kim didn't really want Millie to start getting into trouble, and Lindsay thanks her for telling Millie the truth. Lindsay goes off after Millie and the two spend the evening talking.

Bill walks into his living room and Coach Fredricks is watching basketball. He asks Bill if he wants to watch something else and Bill puts "Dallas" on. Coach Fredricks is looking really annoyed, but after a few minutes Bill starts explaining who is who on the show and Coach Fredricks realizes that Bill is opening up to him.
