Question 1 of 10
1. In the beginning of the episode, we see Fry opening a pack of "Styro-Pack Cookies" and putting them together in the company lounge. Leela complains this creates a lot of waste, even if the "Oreos" are "fresh-a-licious". Even more waste is produced, as Fry only eats this part of the cookie. Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. Professor Farnsworth interrupts the cookie fiasco with news of an important mission to tow a tanker containing Colombian dark matter from the outer reaches of the solar system. This, however, requires the ship to travel within three feet of Pluto, and Leela objects. Why does the ship have to travel this close to the planet? Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. Leela joins the protesters of Penguins Unlimited as she strongly objects to the transportation of the dark matter so close to Pluto. To thwart the movement of the tanker, the group creates a "peace ring" around the ship, but fail to realise what crucial fact? Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. Down on the planet, Leela and the rest of the Penguins Unlimited group are touring around the penguin sanctuary. As she sees the penguins chicks, she remarks that they are "like if puppies and kittens could have babies!" How are the penguin chicks fed in the reserve? Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. Because of the argument between Bender and Fry over dinner (with regards to Bender's megalomania), Bender is towing the tanker without alcohol, and also upside-down. As the tanker scrapes along the side of an iceberg, all 6000 hulls are beached and dark matter oil covers Pluto and its penguins. What charge does Bender get for this major disaster? Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. Bender manages to make his escape while the watching police are hugging. Donning a tuxedo, he uses his retractable legs and swarthy dress sense to blend in with the birds, but as the flock moves towards the water, Bender is taken with them and ends up being reset in penguin mode. How does this happen? Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. Following Bender's mode resetting, he begins to act like the typical penguin. A montage follows, but which of the following things do we not see Bender doing with his avian brethren? Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. Unfortunately for the birds, the dark matter that has been dumped on them is acting as some kind of penguin aphrodisiac, causing them the lay eggs at a highly increased rate, and causing the eggs to hatch astoundingly quickly. This means the penguin population is exploding and they will all soon starve to death. As a result of this, Penguins Unlimited decide that the best thing to do is shoot them and make penguin tempura.

Question 9 of 10
9. Disgusted by the actions of the rest of the protesters, but realising that it is better to die quickly that to starve slowly, Leela grabs her gun and tries to shoot one of the birds. Inadvertently, she shoots Bender, and as he wakes and sees her, his mode is reset to human. As the rest of the group attack Free Waterfall Snr, we find that Bender has taught the birds an important philosophy - what was it? Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. When they've finished with Free Waterfall Jnr., the birds turn on Leela and Bender (as Bender has foolishly taken off his tuxedo). Using Leela as a toboggan, Bender glides down the ice slope onto an ice shelf, which breaks away and floats on the ocean. But, penguins can swim. Cornered on the ice shelf with ravenous, bloodthirsty penguins, Bender and Leela are opportunely saved by Fry in the ship, but how do the penguins get their comeuppance? Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts

Answer: The cream from the centre

Along with the top and bottom parts of the cookie, the "Styro-Pack Cookies" also create waste with the discarded packaging, and require a system of clamps to be installed so that they can be constructed. A pile of unwanted biscuits parts and plastic is slowly mounting in the corner of the Planet Express lounge, and we also hear Leela complaining about the aerosol effect of Bender's antenna spray, which is destroying the planet. Bender replies with "it's not like it's the only one we've got."

Answer: To avoid the toll booth

"At the risk of sounding negative, no!" says Leela in reference to the plan to take the tanker that close to the planet. Armed with 6000 hulls, it is thought that the ship in impenetrable, but unconvinced, Leela decides to have no part in the mission. The honour is therefore handed over to Bender.
3. Leela joins the protesters of Penguins Unlimited as she strongly objects to the transportation of the dark matter so close to Pluto. To thwart the movement of the tanker, the group creates a "peace ring" around the ship, but fail to realise what crucial fact?

Answer: That space ships can move in three dimensions

Free Waterfall Sr., the leader of Penguins Unlimited, has the odd habits of rubbing perma-frost into his crotch and sandwiching his hands inside his crevice in order to keep warm. He also objects to clapping, as this kills spores that could one day become a nutritional fungus. A simple thumbs up is his preferred form of acceptance.

The idea of the "peace ring" was to stop the tanker moving, like a "tiger in a washing machine", but sadly, the tanker just rose and travelled over the protesters, and so the tanker Juan Valdez was on its way to Pluto.
4. Down on the planet, Leela and the rest of the Penguins Unlimited group are touring around the penguin sanctuary. As she sees the penguins chicks, she remarks that they are "like if puppies and kittens could have babies!" How are the penguin chicks fed in the reserve?

Answer: By hand puppets

We see a hand puppet appear from behind synthetic stones and feed the chicks by throwing a fish at them. The penguins, however, seem more interested in attacking the hand puppet and causing the man on the end of it significant pain. Free Waterfall Sr. claims that this method allows the chicks to have the most natural upbringing possible.

Answer: Five hours community service cleaning penguins at the reserve

Bender would have preferred the death penalty, and his lawyer (the hyper-chicken) claims that he would have got Bender a better charge, but it was rather difficult while he was on trial for incompetence. While on Pluto, bender cleans the penguins by wringing them and drinking the oil. He also manages to shave time from his job by not cleaning the black parts.
6. Bender manages to make his escape while the watching police are hugging. Donning a tuxedo, he uses his retractable legs and swarthy dress sense to blend in with the birds, but as the flock moves towards the water, Bender is taken with them and ends up being reset in penguin mode. How does this happen?

Answer: He is attacked by an Orca in the water

As Bender is asleep when the birds decide to go on the move, he has no choice that to be taken along with the crowd. He has no problem with the water itself - it's what lives in the water that gives him trouble. As he resets, he gains the ability to act and speak as a penguin. His two major command as a penguin are simple - gorge on fish, and frolic.
7. Following Bender's mode resetting, he begins to act like the typical penguin. A montage follows, but which of the following things do we not see Bender doing with his avian brethren?

Answer: We see all of these actions taking place

We also see Bender feeding the young of the brood. He watches the other adult penguins vomiting fish into the mouths of their chicks, and as he can't do it himself, he uses a blender attachment in his mouth to puree the fish and feed the young. He also falls in love with a female from his group, but the romance is short lived.

Answer: True

During the lecture in which Free Waterfall Snr. describes the rapid mating issue, we see one poor member of the protection group collapse. Unfortunately, he had to be taken away, as he was "over-gasped". Taking their guns, the people of Penguins Unlimited opt to shoot the birds, but Leela faces a major moral dilemma - she lived penguins, and doesn't want to kill them.

In her words, "if it's fun, then it's not environmentalism".

Answer: "If it ain't black and white, peck, scratch, and bite"

It was in fact Margaret Thatcher who believed that you can never trust a man with a beard, but that's rather beside the point. While the birds are gorging on Free Waterfall Snr., Fry has requisitioned the ship to look for Bender, but he and Zoidberg are being attacked by some form of giant space squid. Of course.

Answer: They're eaten by an Orca.

The group fly away, safe from the evils of the penguin reserve on Pluto, but there's always that little bit of doubt, especially in episodes like these. Right at the end, we see two penguins finding the guns of the hunting squad, picking them up, and cocking the triggers...
