Along with the top and bottom parts of the cookie, the "Styro-Pack Cookies" also create waste with the discarded packaging, and require a system of clamps to be installed so that they can be constructed. A pile of unwanted biscuits parts and plastic is slowly mounting in the corner of the Planet Express lounge, and we also hear Leela complaining about the aerosol effect of Bender's antenna spray, which is destroying the planet. Bender replies with "it's not like it's the only one we've got."

"At the risk of sounding negative, no!" says Leela in reference to the plan to take the tanker that close to the planet. Armed with 6000 hulls, it is thought that the ship in impenetrable, but unconvinced, Leela decides to have no part in the mission. The honour is therefore handed over to Bender.

Free Waterfall Sr., the leader of Penguins Unlimited, has the odd habits of rubbing perma-frost into his crotch and sandwiching his hands inside his crevice in order to keep warm. He also objects to clapping, as this kills spores that could one day become a nutritional fungus. A simple thumbs up is his preferred form of acceptance.

The idea of the "peace ring" was to stop the tanker moving, like a "tiger in a washing machine", but sadly, the tanker just rose and travelled over the protesters, and so the tanker Juan Valdez was on its way to Pluto.

We see a hand puppet appear from behind synthetic stones and feed the chicks by throwing a fish at them. The penguins, however, seem more interested in attacking the hand puppet and causing the man on the end of it significant pain. Free Waterfall Sr. claims that this method allows the chicks to have the most natural upbringing possible.

Bender would have preferred the death penalty, and his lawyer (the hyper-chicken) claims that he would have got Bender a better charge, but it was rather difficult while he was on trial for incompetence. While on Pluto, bender cleans the penguins by wringing them and drinking the oil. He also manages to shave time from his job by not cleaning the black parts.

As Bender is asleep when the birds decide to go on the move, he has no choice that to be taken along with the crowd. He has no problem with the water itself - it's what lives in the water that gives him trouble. As he resets, he gains the ability to act and speak as a penguin. His two major command as a penguin are simple - gorge on fish, and frolic.

During the lecture in which Free Waterfall Snr. describes the rapid mating issue, we see one poor member of the protection group collapse. Unfortunately, he had to be taken away, as he was "over-gasped". Taking their guns, the people of Penguins Unlimited opt to shoot the birds, but Leela faces a major moral dilemma - she lived penguins, and doesn't want to kill them.

While the birds are gorging on Free Waterfall Snr., Fry has requisitioned the ship to look for Bender, but he and Zoidberg are being attacked by some form of giant space squid. Of course.

The group fly away, safe from the evils of the penguin reserve on Pluto, but there's always that little bit of doubt, especially in episodes like these. Right at the end, we see two penguins finding the guns of the hunting squad, picking them up, and cocking the triggers...
