My goodness, Radar has a big family, which seemingly extends beyond just human kind. In the letter, his mother answers a series of questions about Radar's extended family and pets. We don't hear the questions, only the silly answers. Hawkeye is disappointed not to hear about Radar's cousin Ernie. Radar stops reading the letter when the bombing begins anew.
