6. Blythe Danner played an old flame of Hawkeye's in the episode "The More I See You". What was her character's name?

Answer: Carlye Walton

Carlye, although married, rekindled her romance with Hawkeye. Alas, their renewed romance was short-lived because Carlye felt guilty and got a transfer out of the 4077th.
7. Which "Barney Miller" actor played Charlie Lee in the episode "To Market,To Market"?

Answer: Jack Soo

Charlie was involved with the black market. Hawkeye and Trapper went to see him in order to try and make a deal so that they could get some medical supplies that black marketeers were hijacking. They told Charlie about Henry's beautiful new antique oak desk; Charlie saw it, liked it and said it was a deal. How Hawkeye and Trapper got the desk out of Henry's office and past Frank is just hilarious!
8. Ed Flanders of "St. Elsewhere" fame played what character in the episode "Yankee Doodle Doctor"?

Lt. Bricker was a film maker. General Clayton sent him to the 4077th to make a documentary so that the folks back home could see what the people of the 4077th were in Korea for. However, Trapper, Hawkeye and Radar decided to "edit" Bricker's film! The results are side-splitting!

Erica was wounded by a scared and confused North Korean soldier. Hawkeye was her doctor and they had a fling but she was transferred out of the 4077th.
12. The late, great John Ritter played what role in the episode "Deal Me Out"?

Answer: Private Carter

Carter was a very scared GI. He begged Frank not to send him back up the front. And Frank, with his usual wonderful bedside manner, replied, "Shut up or I'll have you shipped out tonight!" This caused Carter to snap and take Frank hostage while Frank was totally naked in the shower! Remember when Frank asked Carter, "Do you like my sponge"? As luck would have it, Sidney Freedman was there and talked to Carter while Trapper snuck in the back of the shower tent and took the gun from Carter. Luckily, no one was hurt. And the cowardly Frank tried to take the credit for getting the gun away fom Carter, causing Hawkeye to turn the showerhead on Frank full force!

Answer: Alan Alda

Robert Alda's character was a civilian; his rank was honorary. He also appeared on another episode of "M*A*S*H" as the same character. I'm sure father and son got along better in real life than their characters did on the show!
16. Soon-Tek Oh is another actor who guest starred on "M*A*S*H" a number of times. What was his character's name in the episode "Love And Mariage"?

Answer: Mr. Kwang

All these characters were played by Soon-Tek Oh. Ralph was the name Hawkeye and BJ gave to a North Korean soldier that saved their lives. Hawkeye and BJ became lost while delivering medicine to the 4077th and they came across Ralph, who surrendered to them. Ralph saved their lives by telling a squad of North Korean soldiers that he found them first and that they were his prisoners! The squad bought it and left. So Ralph and Co. moved on and eventually got back to camp.
17. Which "Little House On The Prairie" actor played Colonel Coner in the episode "Some 38th Parallels"?

Answer: Kevin Hagen

19. Which "Babe" actor played Bardonaro in the episode "Last Laugh"?

Answer: James Cromwell

Bardonaro was an old friend of BJ's and also quite the practical joker! He would've fit in great in The Swamp. He pulled a joke that got BJ in a bit of trouble but BJ got him back twice; first by swiping his travel orders and then by offering him a jeep that was out of gas so that he could get to the airport to catch his flight home! Great episode.
20. Which "Guiding Light" actor played Saunders in the episode "The Smell Of Music"?

Answer: Jordan Clarke

Saunders was a GI who was badly wounded in the face when his gun bolt caught him in the face. He didn't think plastic surgery would help or that his girlfriend would love him anymore so he tried to kill himself twice. The first time he almost overdosed and the second time he tried to inhale too much anathesia. Luckily, Colonel Potter saved him and talked him out of trying suicide again.
21. Which "The Andy Griffith Show" actor played Captain Roy Dupree in the episode "Temporary Duty"?

Answer: George Lindsey

Dupree was assigned to the 4077th for a short time. He was from the 8063rd. However, he found the 4077th much to his liking and asked Col. Potter for a transfer. The only problem with that was nobody liked him except Potter!
22. Mariette Hartley played Dr. Halverson. What was the Doctor's first name? The answer is also the name of the episode she was in.

Answer: Inga

24. Which "Cheers" actress played Nurse Mendenhall in the episode "Bottle Fatigue"?

Answer: Shelley Long

This is the episode where Hawkeye, stunned by his bar tab, goes on the wagon for a week. He drives everyone crazy with his observations and criticism about everything. This included Nurse Mendenhall. They were on a date and she asked Hawkeye if it would bother him if she drank.

He told her to go ahead if she needed to drink in order to get "in the mood". Needless to say, that was the end of the date!
25. Which "Cheers" actor played Pvt. La Roche in the episode "Trick Or Treatment"?

Answer: George Wendt

That's right, NORM! La Roche was a Marine who stupidly accepted a bet that he couldn't get a pool ball in his mouth. Well, he did; the only problem was he couldn't get it out! Charles, with reservation, said he would treat him. Needless to say, Charles had fun with this idiot. Things like: "What's the problem"? "Do you realize you have a pool ball lodged in your mouth"? And my favorite: "We'll have to pull all our teeth out". Well, that's it. I hope you enjoyed my quiz. Bye!
