From the episode "Child's Play". Mama has never really liked Naomi. She hates her clothes, especially since Naomi's dresses are always "off the shoulder". Mama thought Naomi's dress was inappropriate for church, especially since she is the president of the Church Ladies League!

This is from the episode "Hate Thy Neighbor". Mama and Fred Gebhart have been feuding for years. Things get worse when Bubba meets Fred's granddaughter Terri, and the two began dating. Terri and Bubba decide to get married, and Fred and Mama agree to call a truce.

Then Bubba and Terri argue about where to spend their honeymoon (she wants to go to Graceland; he wants to go to Disney World). Mama and Fred get involved in the arguement when they suggest the places where they spent their respective honeymoons, and the feud starts all over again! I love the ending, when Mama tells Bubba, "You start loving thy neighbor, I'm gonna kick thy butt!"

This is from the episode "A Taxing Situation". Mama's afraid she's going to audited by the IRS, and asks the family's help in dealing with the situation. While she offers home-made pie to the IRS man, Bubba comes to the door dressed as a Boy Scout looking for donations, and Naomi and Vint come in dressed as Salvation Army volunteers.

It turns out that Mama will be getting her refund until she lets slip that she didn't report all of her income, and now has to re-file and pay a penalty for being late!

In this episode, titled "The Flaming Forties", Vint is taking a lot of Mama's things from the attic for Buzz and Sonya's rummage sale to raise money for a new gym. At first she refuses to part with it, but after her idea for the fund raiser dance is turned down, (they were going to use a 1940's theme), Mama is so disappointed that she lets Vint take it all. Later, when Mama and Fran are looking over some old photographs, Mama changes her mind again and she and Fran rush down to the school to get her things back.

When the punk band that was supposed to play at the dance doesn't show, Mama plays her Andrews Sisters record of "Boogie-Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B", and teaches the kids how to dance the way they did in the forties. Everyone has a wonderful time and Mama gets all of her things back.

In "Mama's Layaway Plan", Mama starts planning her own funeral. This includes using the money that the family had been saving for a vacation trip to the Grand Canyon as a down payment on a casket, and giving everyone as little as possible to eat to meet the expensive payments.

She changes her mind after dreaming that everyone left her funeral to go bowling. Mama cancels her funeral plans and promises the Grand Canyon trip after all.

In the episode "Guess Who's Going to Dinner", Vint wins 10th prize in a raffle, which is a Mother's Day dinner for two at "Abdul's" restaurant. Poor Vint can't decide which one to take. He gives a coupon to Mama. She tells Naomi that she's going to church, and plans to meet Vint at the restaurant. Vint does the same for Naomi, who tells Mama that she's going to work.

When they see each other at the restaurant, they began to bicker until the head waiter gives them a note from Vint, explaining that he was unable to choose between them, so he decided they should both go without him. Mama and Naomi feel so bad about this that they get the food to go, taking it home and sharing it with Vint, Bubba and Iola.

Answer: "He's going to graduate in two years!"

This is from "Pinup Mama". Bubba is taking photographs for his college class, and plays a practical joke on Mama when the photos are developed, putting Mama's head on his friend Lisa's body. The photo accidentally gets made into a flyer Mama created to get more men to come to the "Senior Singles Mixer" dance, and tons of men show up, thinking that Mama looks like she does in the faked photo. Mama and Iola can't understand why all of the women are angry with Mama, until Iola happens to see the flyer.

Vint and Naomi have worked out a "dirty dance" routine for the competition in "Very Dirty Dancing". Mama is talked into going to watch along with Iola and Bubba. She meets Ramon, an old friend, and they decide to enter the competition, too. Both couples are among the finalists, and have to draw from a hat to decide what dance they will have to do last. Poor Mama and Ramon end up with the "dirty dance" instead of Vint and Naomi, but they manage to pull it off!

This is from the final episode "Bye-Bye--Baby!" Naomi goes into labor, and Vint is so nervous that he smashes the pickup truck into Mama's car. They get Naomi into the motor home that sits in the driveway. After Vint faints, Mama ends up helping Naomi to give birth to a beautiful baby girl that they name Tiffany Thelma.

From the episode "The Wedding-Part 2". Eunice has been nagging everyone to let her sing at Vint and Naomi's wedding, but no one really wants her to. Finally, Naomi gives in, and Eunice is very happy until she learns that Mama gave Carl's ring to Vint as a wedding present. Fuming through the ceremony and swilling down a few beers, Eunice is totally out of control when it's time for her to sing her solo. First she screams at Mama, and then she and Ellen get into it. Poor Ed ends up carrying her out the door, still screaming and yelling!
