Road Blocks of "The Amazing Race 15" Quiz

Answer: Ducks

In leg 2, teams made their way to a field in the village of Cai Be to complete a Road Block task, the first in the race. For this task, one member of each team was required to enter a marked pen and herd one hundred fifty ducks over a bridge to the other side of the enclosure, then back into their holding area at the start. If the selected team member completed this within ten minutes they'd receive their clue, otherwise they would need to start again when another pen had opened up for them. Pens were first-come-first-serve. Meghan, Jessica, Ericka, Tiffany, Sam, Jessica, Marcy, Flight Time, Zev, Matt, and Keri finished the task before going to the Pit Stop aboard the Bassac III Riverboat.

Answer: VCRs

In Leg 3, teams traveled by taxi to Dien Co 008 for their Road Block task and discovered that one member of each team needed to get their hands dirty to tear apart two VCRs for recycling purposes. Once that member not only disassembled both VCRs but sorted their components in to three different piles, they would be handed their next clue by the store owner.

This task was completed by Cheyne, Flight Time, Matt, Brian, Sam, Tiffany, Justin, Canaan, Lance, and Ron before they headed to the third Pit Stop at Ho Chi Minh City's Reunification Palace.

Answer: Cambodia

Arriving at Wat Toul Tom Pong in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in Leg 4, teams were told to select one member who could monkey around. For this task, the chosen member needed to put on a monkey mask and a tail and mimic the local monkey actors hired by the royal family to pay tribute to their most revered creatures, monkeys. Once the selected team member copied three monkey techniques and acted like a monkey they received their next clue directing them to the Pit Stop at Wat Phnom. Zev, Dan, Flight Time, Ericka, Meghan, Gary, Keri, Canaan, and Maria completed this task.

Answer: Tiffany

In Leg 5, teams found their Road Block clue in the middle of the desert in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve in Margham. Here, one member of each team was required to use a ladle and a pouch and search around the surrounding desert for an urn buried to its lid in the sand containing water. Once they filled their pouch and returned it to a camel owner, they would receive their next clue sending them back to Dubai. Brian, Tiffany, Dan, Big Easy, Matt, Canaan, and Lance finished this one up.

Answer: Seven

In Leg 6, teams took a briefcase to a clue box at the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club where one member of each team was required to hop into an inflatable dinghy and paddle it into the river to a yacht anchored off-shore. Here, they needed to receive a watch which could be brought back to their starting point, and using the time on this watch (8:35) they could unlock the briefcase to get their next clue. Cheyne, Brian, Big Easy, Gary, Dan, Maria, and Canaan paddled this one for their team before everyone headed to the Old Souk in Dubai.

Answer: Bells

Heading through the Netherlands in Leg 7, teams arrived at the Martinitoren in Groningen to complete a counting Road Block in which team members climbed to the top floors of the bell tower to count the bells inside. Once they had determined the correct number and presented it to the bell keeper they would receive their next clue. Meghan, Sam, Matt, Tiffany, Flight Time, and Ericka discovered this number to be sixty-two though some had trouble coming to this total.

After this, teams needed to find a windmill in the town of Vierhuizen du Marne.

Answer: Sweden

In this Road Block task teams found Bogs Gard Farm in Sweden and one member of each team needed to relive a notoriously-difficult Road Block task first experienced by players in the shows sixth season. For this task, Meghan, Sam, Big Easy, Brian, and Gary tore into nearly two hundred bales of hay, unrolling them through the fields to find one of only seven containing a race flag which would allow teams to check in at the nearby Pit Stop.

The first time this task appeared on the show, nine teams struggled to locate a clue, one of about twenty, in over two hundred fifty bales; the eliminated team was outed from the race while still performing the task after eight hours in the field.

Answer: Prague

Heading through Prague, teams found their way to the Estates Theater to perform a Road Block task. For this, one member of each team was required to search through this world-famous opera house for one of four tiny mandolins in cases hidden throughout the balconies and seats. Once that member found the object they needed to bring it to the stage and hand it off to a man portraying Don Giovanni. Cheyne, Big Easy, Dan, and Ericka located their mandolins before heading to the next Pit Stop at Prague Castle.

Answer: Flight Time and Big Easy

In Leg 11, teams continued to Prague's Ekotechnicke Museum to find an absurdist-themed Road Block task. For this, Meghan, Sam, Big Easy, and Brian needed to head into a warehouse filled with ringing phones and pick up the receivers until they found five with someone on the other end of the line. Once they accumulated five letters they needed to enter an office and fill out a lengthy form filled with inane questions and, at the bottom, they needed to unscramble the letters to spell the word FRANZ.

They would then receive their next clue (and, aptly, their forms would be dropped in the trash) and they could head on to the Kryocentrum in Prague. Flight Time and Big Easy sat through a four hour penalty because Big Easy was unable to solve the unscrambling puzzle to complete the task. they were subsequently eliminated.

Answer: Mandalay Bay

In the final Road Block task of the race, teams found a clue at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino telling one member (Ericka, Cheyne, and Sam) to head to the roof and perform a frightening face-first rappel from the top to the bottom. All three team members completed it without hassle (after all, one million dollars was at stake) and they continued on to their next clue at The Mirage where they needed to join the cast of Crique du Soleil's "Love".
