Teams checked into a Pit Stop aboard the Bassac III Riverboat in Cai Be, Vietnam for their second leg of the race, and while the ten teams remaining waited out their rest time, their lodgings would be moved along the Mekong Delta. Rather than depart from the boat in the village of Cai Be, teams were dropped off unknowingly in My Tho. Teams departing from here were told to find the Golden Dragon Water Puppet Theatre for their next clue though they needed to discover that this could only be found two hours away (by taxi) in Ho Chi Minh City.

Answer: Dragon

When teams arrived at the Golden Dragon Water Puppet Theatre, they needed to go inside to claim their clue hidden in the mouth of one of several dragon puppets swimming in the water inside (though some teams danced for their clue for some reason instead). What they found was a flag and a bullet attached to it.

When teams opened the bullet they would unfurl a stamp which would lead them to their next destination, the Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, where they would be able to locate their next clue box.

Answer: Marcy and Ron

At the Post Office, teams found a Detour task allowing for a choice between either 'Child's Play' and 'Word Play'. In 'Child's Play', teams needed to head to a marked stall in Tao Dan Park and transport a plaster animal sculpture across the park's difficult paths (on a dolly) while claiming five coloured balloons along the way.

When teams handed off their balloons and statue to a woman at the playground, they would get their next clue. In 'Word Play', teams headed to the roof of a nearby building and searched the streets below for six different Vietnamese letters which, when unscrambled, would spell 'Doc Lap', the Vietnamese word for 'independence'.

This would result in their next clue. Only Marcy and Ron completed this task while all others completed 'Child's Play'.

Answer: Tiffany

After the Detour, teams were told to head to a specific intersection of Ho Chi Minh City to find Dien Co 008. Here, one member of each team was required to complete the Road Block task for this leg in which they needed to properly disassemble two VCRs to recycle their parts and split them into separate piles based on their materials. Cheyne, Flight Time, Matt, Brian, Sam, Tiffany, Justin, Canaan, Lance, and Ron completed this task to receive their next clue.

Answer: Marcy and Ron

In the end of the Leg, teams were told to head by taxi to the third Pit Stop of the race, Reunification Palace. In an extremely close finish, Flight Time and Big Easy narrowly defeated Meghan and Cheyne on the run to the mat to win themselves a trip for two, courtesy of Travelocity, to Aruba. Marcy and Ron were unable to catch up after their Detour task and became the third team eliminated from the race.

Answer: Cambodia

In the evening, teams departed from Reunification Palace, their third Pit Stop, and were told to make their way to the Foreign Correspondents Club in the city of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. All nine remaining teams took the same flight arriving during the day in Cambodia. Upon their arrival at the Foreign Correspondents Club, teams needed to find the men reading newspapers here and whisper 'May I please have my next assignment?' to receive their next clue, a newspaper.

Answer: Lance and Keri

After getting their 'assignments', teams needed to identify a location within the city based on a picture given to them in the newspapers they received. This picture featured Jacqueline Kennedy during her visit in the 1960s and many of the teams soon found out that their next destination was the Hotel le Royal in Phnom Penh where the original picture could be found.

Here, teams received a Detour. Lance and Keri were the only team to complete 'Cover' in which all participants needed to sell four helmets (two for adults and two for children) for a total of $10 to get their next clue.

Answer: A woman wearing a scarf

For the other side of the Detour, teams needed to head to Phnom Penh's Russian Market and locate two stalls found inside. After receiving a coloured scarf from the stall workers, teams needed to find a woman walking through the expansive market wearing an identical wrap.

When the teams brought the woman back to the stall they would receive their next clue. Everyone excluding Lance and Keri completed this task.

Answer: Monkey

After the Detour, teams were told to proceed on foot to the next clue box waiting for them at Wat Toul Tom Pong where they would open their Road Block clue. Here, one member of each team needed to join in an activity involving the royally-hired Khmer Monkeys of the palace.

The selected member needed to dress up as a monkey and learn three monkey techniques from one of the monkeys commissioned by the royal family to pay respect to the monkeys held sacred by citizens of Cambodia. Zev, Dan, Flight Time, Ericka, Meghan, Gary, Keri, Canaan, and Maria finished this one and got their clue.

Answer: Zev and Justin

After the Road Block, teams traveled by taxi to Wat Phnom, their fourth Pit Stop of the race. Zev and Justin arrived first having led the entire leg, but after their arrival they discovered that they had lost Zev's passport somewhere on the race course.

As a result, all the remaining teams were moved up in the rankings (with Sam and Dan leading) and Maria and Tiffany, who placed last, were spared from elimination. Unable to proceed, Zev and Justin became the fourth team eliminated.
