"RuPaul's Drag Race" - Season 11 Quiz

After being the first eliminated in Season 10, 'Miss Vanjie' was the first to return to "RuPaul's Drag Race" in Season 11, walking backwards into the workroom at the start of the competition as though she'd been making her exit to make an entrance the whole time. Vanjie was hardly the first queen to reappear in a subsequent season-- Shangela returned in Season 2, Cynthia returned in Season 9, and Eureka returned in Season 10.

Answer: A cyst

With more queens than ever before (fifteen!), many entered the workroom on day one and dove very quickly into a mini-challenge involving posing with "Drag Race" alumni. Their maxi-challenge kept the theme with all of the queens receiving a box themed around the general materials and aesthetics of past queens.

The new crop had to make their own outfit in their own style, but using the old aesthetics. The win this week went to Brooke Lynn Hytes, who received Detox's box, but the bottom two went to Soju (who received Kim Chi's box) and Kahanna Montrese (who got Katya). Soju, who complained about a cyst on her behind for much of the judging, flopped during a Hannah Montana lip sync and became the first eliminated queen.

She left a lasting impression though, since most of the queens referred to each other as cyst-ers throughout the season.

Answer: Opulence

"Uppalance! You own everything!" Week two was an acting challenge for the girls as they split into two teams of seven and performed in 'Good God Girl Get Out' and 'Why It Gotta Be Black, Panther?'. What resulted were two parodies with clear stars and a few scattered players. Ultimately, Mercedes Iman Diamond and Kahanna Montrese fell to the bottom for their pairing in the former group, partly for fading into the background and partly for screwing up the lines. On the main stage, after a zodiac-themed runway, Mercedes turned it out to Britney Spears' "Work Bitch", securing her spot in the competition.

Answer: Six

In the maxi-challenge, the winning team was clear, and the losing team, tasked with creating a parody evangelist talk show in support of Mariah Carey, flopped so bad that on the main stage, Ru had no choice but to send all of the members of said team into the bottom, urging them to perform in a six-way lip sync for their lives.

As such, A'Keria C. Davenport, Honey Davenport, Plastique Tiara, Ra'Jah O'Hara, Scarlet Envy and Shuga Cain all lip synced to a remix of Jennifer Lopez's "Waiting for Tonight". Only Honey Davenport was sent home, but the instance was the largest lip sync on the show to date.

Answer: Monsters

In week five, the queens were met with their ball, and this year, the aim was to put together three looks, the first being a trampy trick-or-treater look, the second being a witch look, and the third being made from scratch and themed around monster eleganza. All three looks needed to be fully-formed and paraded down the runway in succession, so by the end, the queens presented thirty-three total looks. Brook Lynn Hytes won this challenge while Ariel Versace and Shuga Cain performed Whitney for their lip sync. Ariel sashayed away, tripping on her own outfit during the performance.

Answer: Snatch Game At Sea

Week eight brought back Snatch Game, and with it, eight queens brought their best impersonations to a nautical set for two celebrity guests. Unpredictably, two of the season's front-runners, Brooke Lynn Hytes (as Celine Dion) and Yvie Oddly (as Whoopi Goldberg) ended up missing the mark, failing to land jokes and not being able to save themselves with their runways, so they faced off in a highly-acrobatic lip sync to Demi Lovato's "Sorry Not Sorry" that persuaded Ru to keep both of them for the week.

Answer: Caftan

Although the queens wore facekinis the previous week, all of them had to don loose-fitting caftans for their runway in week ten, capping off a complicated performance challenge in which the girls split into two teams and created an entire performance around magic.

While Nina West, Shuga Cain, and Brooke Lynn Hytes acted as 'The Mighty Ducks', Akeria, Yvie, Vanjie, and Silky worked as 'Black Magic' to stun crowds. In the end, Vanjie and Shuga ended up in the bottom and a lip sync to Mary J. Blige's "No More Drama" sent the latter home.

Answer: Previously-eliminated queens

As is typical, this season saw a makeover challenge in its later stages, this time during the final-six week. Instead of bringing in family members or outside celebrities, the queens this season saw the return of Shuga Cain, Plastique Tiara, Scarlet Envy, Ariel Versace, Honey Davenport, and Soju, and the goal was to make them over to be part of their paired queen's drag family.

This sent Nina West and Silky Nutmeg Ganache to the bottom and both faced their first lip syncs for their lives. Ru was unimpressed with both performances to TLC's "No Scrubs" but sent Nina West home over Silky, leaving only five queens in the running. Nina would subsequently win Miss Congeniality at the finale, starting her speech with the same line Ru gave after the lip sync: "Meh."

Answer: Queens Everywhere

As has been tradition, the final week of the season was dedicated to the creation of a RuPaul music video in which the remaining queens (five this time) needed to write their own lyrics to be inserted into the song. This season, the final five created lyrics to the new single "Queens Everywhere" before learning choreography and executing it in a single-take music video.

The final lip sync for your life on the main stage ended up being between close competitors Brooke Lynn Hytes and Miss Vanjie while the other three went straight to the finale. Miss Vanjie was eliminated in fifth place on the back of this.

Answer: Yvie Oddly

During the finale, the final four queens faced off in lip syncs, one on one, until a winner was crowned. In the first match-up, Brooke Lynn Hytes and Silky Nutmeg Ganache performed Destiny's Child's "Bootylicious" (with Brooke winning) and in the second, Yvie Oddly won against A'Keria to Rihanna's "SOS".

In the finals, it was Yvie Oddly won beat Brooke Lynn Hytes performing Lady Gaga's "The Edge of Glory". She won a one-year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics and a cash prize of $100,000 in addition to the title of 'America's Next Drag Superstar'.
