Answer: U.S.S. Grissom

Virgil (Gus) Ivan Grissom died in an Apollo capsule, during a simulated count down, at Cape Canaveral on January 27, 1967. Edward White and Roger Chaffee also died in the fire.

Drake was the first Englishman to sail around the world. It took Drake three years complete the voyage. He set out in 1577 with five ships which were manned by 164 seamen. Most of the sailors thought that they were sailing for the Mediterranean. Drake was in the 'Pelican' which he later renamed the 'Golden Hind'.

When he reached the Americas Drake ordered for two of the ships to be destroyed. Another ship later sunk and one turned around and sailed back to England. Drake plundered Spanish ports and ships on the way and managed to returned with his hold full of treasure.
