All of these episodes are spoofs of a movie. But, only three of them are spoofs of horror movie.

"Heeeere's Lassie" is a spoof of the movie "The Shining", in which the murderer goes crazy and at one point yell's "Heeeere's Johnny!". In the "Psych" episode, Lassie goes crazy after being drugged by one of his neighbor's.

"Tuesday the 17th" is a spoof of the movie "Friday the 13th". In this episode, Shawn and Gus go to a murder solving camp, which then turns into a actual murder mystery.

"A Nightmare on State Street" is a spoof of the movie "A Nightmare on Elm's Street". In this episode, Gus has nightmare's about Shawn leaving him.

"Last Night Gus" is a spoof of "The Hangover", which is not a horror movie. In this episode, Shawn, Gus, Lassie and Woody wake up in the Psych office, and they can't remember what happened the night before. They start to solve the crime, and all the proof at the beginning points to Lassie killing the guy.

Anthony Michael Hall guest stars at the end of season 7, and the first few episodes of season 8 as interim-chief Harris Trout. Trout is a jerk, and ends up getting fired for his dangerous tactics during a hostage situation including Woody.

Ally Sheedy guest stars in three episodes of "Psych" as well as the musical as the serial killer Mr. Yang. She was a funny character, whom actually kills the other serial killer Mr. Yin, but sadly she gets killed in the musical.

Judd Nelson guest stars as Dr. Steven Reidman that specializes in the Thornburg virus, which the bad guy is trying to weaponize.

Emilio Estevez is mentioned throughout the show, but he never guest stars.

Shawn wants the band to be called Quarter Black, which makes no sense, because Shawn is the only white guy. Tony and Drake end up liking the name of the band, but Gus still doesn't like the idea of the band name.

"Remake A.K.A. Cloudy...With a Chance of Improvement" in season 8 is the remake of "Cloudy With a Chance of Murder". It's basically the same case, with different actors instead of the original ones, except the defense attorney.

Chavo, Lassie, and Kate are all shot in this episode.

Chavo is the first one shot, when he is holding the camera, and gets shot by the Serbs.

Kate then tries to pick up the camera and carry it herself, but she also gets shot.

Lassie was sniping in the back, because he had stepped in a bear trap previously, and a Serb breaks in the back of Big Ed's house, and shoots Lassie.

Gus almost gets shot, but Big Ed Dickson killed the Serb before he could kill Gus.

Thankfully, Chavo, Kate, and Lassie all survive being shot.

In this episode, Lassie decides to go to Gus's tap dance studio, and learn to tap dance. While Gus is teaching him how to tap dance, Lassie's mind gets clearer and it helps him solve the crime.

Lassie is reenacting a battle in the civil war, in which an ancestor of his took place in. But, during a rehearsal, one of the people reenacting with him gets killed.

Shawn introduces the two of them as Black and Tan. When the bouncer thinks that Shawn is Tan and Gus is Black, Shawn takes great offense, and calls the man racist. They end up getting into the party.
