"Highway to Heaven" aired from 1984-89, and starred Michael Landon as the angel, and Victor French as his human companion.

They traveled together helping people in the struggles with faith, sort of like "Touched by an Angel". Landon passed away in 1991 at age 54 of pancreatic cancer, Victor having died two years prior of lung cancer.

The town served as a setting for the company Global Dynamics, a government controlled and contracted facility. The show would air its fourth, and longest, season in 2010 and 2011. This show was renewed for a 22 episode 4th season, after three prior short seasons.

"Moonlight" threw out a different spin on the vampire yarn, allowing for a sunlight lifestyle, as long as it wasn't too long, but was canceled after just one season. HBO's "True Blood" sparked a napalm like inferno for vampire tales in 2008, and the following year another teen based vampire yarn began in "The Vampire Diaries".

After a successful first season, the series was renewed for season two on the CW Network.
