Jack Webb was Sergeant Joe Friday in "Dragnet". The show took its name from an actual police term which was a system of co-ordinated measures to apprehend suspects. The catchphrase was not actually used by Jack Webb but it became synonymous with the show.
Paul Burke played Adam Flint, Robert Stack portrayed Eliott Ness and Efrem Zimbalist Jr. played the sophisticated Stu Bailey.

Robert Young and Jane Wyatt starred as the parents Jim and Margaret Anderson. The three Anderson children were played by Elinor Donohue, Billy Gray and Lauren Chapin.

The "Beverly Hillbillies" was broadcast from 1962-1971. "The Brady Bunch" was originally aired from 1969-1974 and "The Addams Family" was aired from 1964-1966.

Ozzie, Harriett and David used their actual names in the series. Ricky was born Eric Hilliard Nelson. Ricky became a nickname that he used throughout his professional career. Sadly, he was killed in a plane accident in 1985 at the age of 45. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.

In the show's first four years it appeared in the top five of the Nielson ratings. Paladin was a sophisticated and well educated West Point graduate who operated out of the Carlton Hotel in San Francisco. From reading newspapers, he identified persons in need of help and he offered his services. He waited for a response to his business card. He was also very handy with his colt single action revolver.
