Answer: Orson Welles

Roddy Mcdowell, (The original "Planet of The Apes"), was never approached to play the role, but he was on one episode of the show. He portrayed The Devil. Donald Sutherland ("Animal House", "M*A*S*H",) was never involved in the show in any way, and neither was Chalrton Heston.

2. What mythical creature was NEVER shown on the show?

Answer: Unicorn

3. How many episodes of "Fantasy Island" were there?

Answer: 157

The pilot for the series was shown on January, 1977.

4. What famous sitcom actor appeared in 3 episodes of the series?

Sherman Helmsley ("The Jeffersons"), only appeared on the show one time, as well as Don Adams ("Get Smart".) Dick Van Dyke was never on "Fantasy Island."

Answer: Lawrence

The late Christopher Hewett played Lawrence from 1983-1984, after actor Herve Villechaize was fired from the show following a salary dispute. Tragically, Villechaize commited sucide in 1993.

6. What was Rourke's assistant's name?

Answer: Julie

Rourke's assistant was Julie. It has also been said she was his God daughter. She was played by actress Wendy Schaal from 1980-1981. She has guest-starred on numerous TV shows, such as "The X-Files", "Providence", and "Boomtown."

7. Adam West and Burt Ward from the TV show "Batman" once appeared on "Fantasy Island" together.

Answer: False

West was on the show, but Burt Ward never showed up.

8. Which of these plotlines never happened?
