As Dean of Medicine, she rarely performed medical procedures or diagnoses, however we occasionally saw her participate in House's case, usually when she was dissatisfied with his performance.

At the end of season 4, Amber, who was in a relationship with Wilson at the time, ended up in a bus crash after going to pick up a drunk House from the bar. Her kidneys were destroyed by the crash, and she suffered from amantadine poisoning, as her body could not process her flu pills, and her organs shut down.

After her death, Amber returned as hallucinations, and was frequently mentioned throughout the remainder of the season. "That's not the last feeling want to experience" were her last words before she died, as Wilson asked her why she wasn't angry.

His physostigmine overdose was done in conjunction with hypnosis to recover memories of the bus crash that claimed Amber's life.

The thermometer was left in the rectum of Detective Tritter, sparking his investigation into House's narcotic use. He injected nitroglycerin to 'prove' that a drug developed by an old classmate of his did not prevent migraines.
