Answer: Carly

Carly showed her fighting spirit early when faced with Mr. Craig's challenge. She showed an inventive spirit with her name, but proved strong when faced with adversity. But, she also showed how much it affected her when alone with Sonny: "No, it's not ok! It's not ok! I can't do anything to save you with handcuffs any more than i could clamp an artery! Nikolas always proved to be so kind when needed, but the way he defended his family under pressure did show what a nightmare he can be, also. Emily really chose the right name. Has anyone ever noticed that Emily seems to be the "Doctor" in charge when disaster strikes? She remained cool under pressure, but could only take so much. "Oh, shut up! You were trying to kill him! My father is a doctor! He dedicated himself to saving lives, and you shot him! I hate all you, animals! All of you! You're the ones who should die! Robin chose the name Job-In Robin, but ironically it was her that spent the whole crisis having to have a job done on her, surgically. But, Robin proved self-less even when bleeding to death--" Forget about me, ok? If you do get the chance to get out of here, you take each other by the hand and run. Don't look back."

Answer: Howlin' Alan

Alan chose the name Howlin' Alan. Who would have guessed that he would be the casualty in this bad situation. RIP Dr. Quartermaine. Emily summed up her father quite nicely. "Yeah. You've shown me by example. You're a wonderful father, not only on a clinical level, but for the caring concern you show your patients. I only hope that I can live up to your example." Edward also pointed out in a great way: "I -- I never thought I'd -- I'd be here. Oh, with Jason, of course, that's -- that's inevitable.

But not just here waiting, helpless while Alan's life hangs in the balance. Sweet Sam was what Sam chose. But, she proved to be nothing of the sort in helping Craig with his plan. He summed it up here, "You're not like any of the other women, are you? They may be terrified, but there's a -- there's a nobility about them. They worry about others more than they worry about themselves. Poor girl's got a bullet wound. That one's ailing father. She gets nasty and shows her teeth, but even that's to keep her husband and cousin alive. So who do you care about, Sweet Sam, other than yourself? You're the exception, and you know it. Sonny chose a name that he felt really showed the amount of power he had. Craig never seemed shaken by anything that Sonny did, until Sonny has the ultimate bargaining chip. "You kill Carly, you take away my motivation, Mr. Craig. I'd be happy to die with the last two numbers. Then where would your big plans be?"
