4. Veteran actor Matt Frewer has played many roles in many movies and television series (including "Max Headroom"). What is his role in "The Order"?

Answer: Jack's grandfather, "Pops" Morton

Pete "Pops" Morton is Jack's grandfather. He is obsessed with revenge against Edward Coventry, grand magus of the Order, for killing Jack's mother. 5. When Jack is invited to join the order, what sort of organization does he think he is joining?

Answer: a collegiate secret society

Jack did not fully appreciate what he was getting into when he pledged the order. He thought it was a secret society like Skull and Bones at Yale University, the Order of Gimghoul at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the fictitious Order of X in the NetFlix TV series "Dear White People." Jack discovers that he is apprenticed to a society of magicians, not limited to the college campus but around the world.

Jack meets Alyssa Drake (played by Sarah Grey) at an orientation tour of the campus which she is conducting but which he hijacks with his remarkable knowledge of the school. She holds a higher rank in the Order than do acolytes, those first inducted into it; she is called a "medicum" which is Latin for doctor. Romance follows. Cassie Amelia Blake is the protagonist in "The Secret Circle." Astrid Bell is one of two female leads in "Astrid and Lilly Save the World." Hope Mikaelson is a female lead in "Legacies."
7. What was curious about the way in which the several episodes of the first two seasons of "The Order" were titled?

In season 1, the ten episodes were named "Hell Week" Parts One and Two, "Introduction to Ethics" Parts One and Two, "Homecoming" Parts One and Two, "Undeclared" Parts One and Two, and "Finals" Parts One and Two. In Season 2, the ten episodes were named "Free Radicals" Parts One and Two, "Fear Itself" Parts One and Two, "The Commons" Parts One and Two, "Spring Outbreak" Parts One and Two, and "New World Order" Parts One and Two. [Were the title writers paid only half the normal rate for the series?]
8. Which character held/holds the offices of chancellor of the university, magus of that university's temple, and grand magus of the entire order, during the course of "The Order"?

Answer: Vera Stone

Katharine Isabelle plays Vera Stone who holds several positions of power in this story arc. She is chancellor of Belgrave University. She is, at first, the "temple magus" in charge of the order's meeting place on that campus, and finally is elected the grand magus of the entire order. Isabelle has played in a great many horror films, e.g. "Disturbing Behavior" (1998), "Ginger Snaps" (2000), "Bones" (2001), "Freddy vs. Jason" (2003), "30 Days of Night: Dark Days" (2010), "See No Evil 2" (2014), and "Tamara" (2014).

She was nominated for a Leo Award for Best Supporting Performance by a Female in a Dramatic Series for "The Order" in 2019.

Answer: Edward is Jack's father

Coventry has a younger son, Maddox (played by Christian Michael Cooper). Coventry is unaware that he has an older son. Jack believes Coventry drove his mother to suicide.
10. How did "The Order" conclude?

Answer: it was canceled by NetFlix

"The Order" premiered on NetFlix in 2019. It was almost immediately renewed for a second ten-episode season to be released in 2020. After the conclusion of the second season, NetFlix canceled the show. There was no conclusion and a number of issues were left unsatisfactorily unresolved.

The showrunner, Dennis Heaton, reacted to the cancellation, saying "We aren't returning, but I will always cherish the memories and the props I stole."
