Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which previous animé is the main character, Sakura, from?

Answer: 'CardCaptor Sakura'

I hope this first question was easy enough.

'CardCaptor Sakura' is an animé that ran in Japan. The adaptation, 'Cardcaptors', was used in countries such as the United States starting in 2000. Most of the romances, particularly the non-heterosexual, were edited or obliterated.

In 'Tsubasa Chronicle', Sakura loses her memories and goes on a journey through time and dimension in order to find them. They are in the forms of tangible feathers.
2. Sakura loses her memory in the first episode. Who carries her to the dimension witch and helps her retrieve her memory?

Answer: Syaoran

Although Kurogane and Fai also help her find her feathers, Syaoran actually carries her to the dimensions witch.
Syaoran is also a character from 'CardCaptor Sakura'. He is a descendant of Clow Reed, the creator of the Clow Cards. As a member of the Li family, he feels obligated to become the master of the Cards. He uses a Chinese sword and talisman.

In 'Tsubasa Chronicle', he is an archaeologist excavating ruins in Clow Country until that fateful day he discovers a portal. He doesn't realize it until Sakura goes to the ruins under a trance, bares her wings and begins to disappear into the wall. Syaoran tackles her to the ground, saving her from being kidnapped by the antagonist who merely wants Sakura's power for himself. Sakura's wings shatter into feathers and disappear. Syaoran now goes on a journey to find Sakura's feathers and return her memories. His sword is of fire affinity taught by Kurogane and his kicks are devastating to compensate for his poor depth perception.
3. Seishirou Sakurazuka was also in 'X/1999' as the Dragon of Earth but which animé OVA series did he first stem from?

Answer: 'Tokyo Babylon'

Seishirou Sakurazuka is a major character in 'Tokyo Babylon'. He is an assassin who uses onmyoujutsu.

In 'Tsubasa Chronicle', he is Syaoran's former master. He is also a dimension slider like Mokona.
4. Toya Kinomoto appeared in many dimensions such as Clow Country and the Hanshin Republic. Which animé is he from?

Answer: 'CardCaptor Sakura'

Toya Kinomoto, also known as Tori Avalon in 'Cardcaptors', is Sakura's older brother. He is the only person that makes fun of her but is protective and naturally dislikes Syaoran. He has appeared in almost all the major dimensions that our party has visited.

In 'Tsubasa Chronicle', Toya is the king of Clow Country. He battled valiantly to give Clow Reed enough time to slide Syaoran and Sakura to the dimension witch.
5. Fai D. Flowright is a powerful, but carefree magician from the Country of Celes. He leaves to get away from Ashura whom he sealed away. He says he never wants to return. Which one of these people does he leave behind in his country?

Answer: Chii

Everybody welcome Chii from 'Chobits'! This time, she is much more organic instead of a persocon.

In episode one, Fai bids Chii farewell before he slides to meet with the dimension witch.
6. In the Piffle World, our party of four joins a race in the skies for the grand prize of Sakura's memory feather. Which animé is the announcer for the race from?

Answer: 'Angelic Layer'

'Angelic Layer' is an animé using brain-computer interface. Misaki Suzuhara is introduced to a new game of battle dolls that require mental control. It's quite a difficult skill. This animé is set a few years before 'Chobits'.

The announcer who does the commentary on the battles on the layer also announces for the race in Piffle World.
7. Which animé is Yuko Ichihara from?

Answer: 'xxxHOLiC'

Yuko is the dimension witch from 'xxxHOLiC'. She lives in the dimension of modern day Japan. However she appears throughout the animé thanks to Mokona Modoki who acts as a portal from dimension to dimension. She occasionally helps them out in their quest.

Yuko owns a little shop of wishes. She can do anything you wish if you decide the fee is worth it. Our heroes all paid the ultimate prices for the journey. Fai gave his tattoo seal. Kurogane gave up Ginryu, his sword. Syaoran gave up his relationship with Sakura. Even if he saves Sakura's life and returns all her memories, she would have no recollection of Syaoran at all. With this, Yuko gives them White Mokona to travel through time and dimension. She keeps Black Mokona as the other side of the phone line.
8. In Shura Country, our party becomes involved in a crusade between Ashura-o and Yasha-o. Which animé OVA are these two characters from?

Answer: 'RG Veda'

In 'Tsubasa Chronicle', although they come to the battlefield and dish out all they've got, they are actually in love. Without the interference of Syaoran and the others, the future becomes a huge rivalry between the followers of Ashura and those of Yasha. After going back in time, Ashura and Yasha still die, but were buried together in the same grave, therefore changing the future.
9. Which animé is the attendant of the Employment Bureau from?

Answer: 'Chobits'

She is one of Minoru's maid persocons. In 'Chobits', Hideki, Chii's owner, goes to Minoru for all his persocon consultations.
10. Which is the only CLAMP series that does not have a crossover with 'Tsubasa Chronicle'?

Answer: 'Wish'

Oruha from 'Clover' has appeared in Piffle World and Oto County.
'Legend of Chun Hyang' has a crossover with Chun'yan who has appeared many times.
Utako Okawa and Mikoto Okawa from 'Man of Many Faces' were having fun fighting in Oto Country.

For whatever reason, CLAMP did not include anyone from 'Wish' in 'Tsubasa Chronicle'. 'Wish' is a story about Shuichiro Kudo, a doctor who saves an angel. The angel is obligated to grant him one wish however he is quite content with his lifestyle and does not use his wish therefore the angel stays with him.
