Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. First of the Northern lords to proclaim Robb Stark King in the North (season 1)

Answer: Greatjon Umber

The Greatjon is the leader of House Umber and one of the most proud Stark bannermen. After Lord Eddard's execution, the Greatjon proclaims Robb Stark King in the North, followed by other lords of both the North and the Riverlands.
In Season 2, Robb Stark tasks him with the liberation of the Riverlands. He is not shown at the Red Wedding, but in "Oathbreaker", his son, the Smalljon, says that his father is dead.
2. Massacres Eddard Stark's men in the Red Keep (season 1)

Answer: Janos Slynt

Janos Slynt is the son of a butcher in King's Landing. In season 1, he was the commander of the City Watch, aka the gold cloaks. As reward for his treacherous actions, Slynt was given Harrenhal from King Joffrey himself. Later, Joffrey orders him to kill Robert Baratheon's natural-born children in King's Landing, which Janos is quick in doing. Tyrion Lannister is appalled by how ruthless Janos is and has him join the Night's Watch.

There, Slynt joins forces with Alliser Thorne against Jon Snow. After Jon gives him an order, which Slynt refuses to obey, he is executed.
3. Betrays Tyrion Lannister's plans about Myrcella to Cersei (season 2)

Answer: Grand Maester Pycelle

Grand Maester Pycelle was a member of the Small Council of Robert Baratheon. However, despite the fact that maesters are bound by oath to serve a castle, and not a House, Pycelle is a Lannister man to the bone. Thus, when Tyrion tests the loyalty of the Small Council members, by telling each of them that he plans sending Princess Myrcella to a specific location, Pycelle betrays the plan to Cersei. Thus, he is dragged to the black cells, but is later reinstated.
4. Abandons his duty as Kingsguard during the Battle of the Blackwater (season 2)

Answer: Sandor Clegane

Sandor Clegane is also known as "The Hound", due to his unquestioning obedience to his liege lords, the Lannisters, and for his ferocious personality. Sandor also harbors a deep fear of fire, due to a traumatic incident in his childhood. When the Blackwater Bay explodes with wildfire, Clegane abandons his duty and flees King's Landing.
5. Wins a victory against Gregor Clegane at Stone Mill (season 3)

Answer: Edmure Tully

Despite his victory, Edmure is still chastised by his nephew and King, Robb Stark, as well as his uncle, Brynden "Blackfish" Tully. Edmure may has sent Gregor Clegane back to Casterly Rock, but in doing so he has foiled Robb's plan, which was to draw Clegane to the west, in his home country and then strike the blow against him.
6. Kills Robb Stark at the Red Wedding (season 3)

Answer: Roose Bolton

Roose is the Lord of the Dreadfort and one of the strongest Northern lords. He is a quiet man, with frightening looks. Although he seems, at first, loyal to Robb Stark's cause, at the Red Wedding, he and Walder Frey turn against him and Roose himself stabs Robb in the heart. For that treachery, Roose is given dominion over the North by Tywin Lannister.
7. Smuggles Sansa Stark out of King's Landing after Joffrey's assassination (season 4)

Answer: Dontos Hollard

Dontos Hollard is a disgraced knight saved from being killed by Sansa Stark when she remarked to King Joffrey that it was ill luck to kill someone on one's own name day. Therefore, Hollard became Joffrey's jester. He was recruited by Petyr Baelish and was given the task of smuggling Sansa out of King's Landing when Joffrey was assassinated .

After doing that, Hollard is murdered by Baelish, so that the former knight would tell no one that Baelish orchestrated the assassination.
8. His timely arrival saves the Night's Watch from Mance Rayder's wildlings (season 4)

Answer: Stannis Baratheon

King Stannis Baratheon is the younger brother of King Robert. After Robert's death, and since Robert left no trueborn children, Stannis had the strongest claim to the Iron Throne. However, his first attempt is halted at the Battle of the Blackwater. In season 4, Stannis begins another attempt at the Throne, this time starting from the North.

After securing a loan from the Iron Bank of Braavos, he hires several sellswords and goes to the Wall, responding to the desperate pleas of the Night's Watch for aid, the only one of the claimant kings to do so.
9. Nominates Jon Snow for Lord Commander of the Night's Watch (season 5)

Answer: Samwell Tarly

Samwell Tarly is the firstborn son of Lord Randyll Tarly, but could never fulfil his father's expectations. Thus, when Tarly fathered a second son, named Dickon, who was the spitting image of his father in warlike spirit and fierce temperament, Samwell was made to join the Night's Watch.

There, he was initially bullied by the other recruits, but developed a friendship with Jon Snow. Later, he acquired the moniker "Sam the Slayer", for killing a White Walker with an obsidian dagger.
10. Turns the tables on Cersei Lannister and imprisons her (season 5)

Answer: High Sparrow

The High Sparrow's name is not revealed in season 5. However, we know that he is a pious and devoted septon of the Faith of the Seven, hiding no political motives, making him resistant to bribery. At the start of Season 5, the High Sparrow is elected High Septon, due to the influence of Cersei Lannister, who wants to eliminate the threat of the Tyrells.

At first, Cersei's plan seems to work, since the Tyrell brothers are both arrested by the High Sparrow. Their grandmother, Olenna Tyrell, tries to free them, but the High Sparrow points out that the divine laws apply to both noblemen and common people. Later, Cersei visits the High Sparrow, enquiring after the condition of the Tyrells' imprisonment.

However, her cunning has overreached itself, and the High Sparrow orders her imprisoned, too.
