Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. An enormous, poisonous and fast monster fought at "Bloodborne's" Church of the Good Chalice.

Answer: Blood-Starved Beast

The Blood-Starved Beast is anywhere from the first to the third giant beast that the player will face. It is highly aggressive, has three phases, and its main gimmick is easily poisoning the player and forcing them to come to the fight prepared with at least a few Antidotes to mitigate this.
2. The self proclaimed Blade of Miquella and Goddess of Rot, found in "Elden Ring".

Answer: Malenia

Arguably the single most challenging boss From Software ever developed up to this game, Malenia is extremely fast, hits like a truck and heals every time she strikes the player. With two phases to this fight, it is truly a milestone to be celebrated if the player manages to defeat her.
3. A gank fight guarding the player's access to one of two Bells of Awakening in the first "Dark Souls" game.

Answer: Bell Gargoyles

The Bell Gargoyles were inspired by the Maneaters of "Demon's Souls" in the sense that it's not actually a gank fight, at least not immediately. At the start of the fight, one Gargoyle will approach the player. After a small while, a second one jumps into the fray.

It is possible to defeat the first one before the second arrives, but this is a relatively rare scenario due to how quickly the second one comes in and how much health the first one has.
4. A corrupted version of the rebel swordsman Raime, this boss awaits the player at the end of "Dark Souls 2's" Brume Tower.

Answer: Fume Knight

Arguably the hardest fight in the game, Fume Knight brings forth a deadly second phase as well as being reasonably agile and difficult to stagger. Uniquely, if the player enters his boss room while wearing the Helm of Velstadt, Fume Knight will immediately transition to his second phase right out of the gate. Those struggling with this fight are therefore highly advised not to wear this helm.
5. An amalgamation of everyone to have ever linked the First Flame, found within "Dark Souls 3" as the game's final boss fight.

Answer: Soul of Cinder

As the question states, Soul of Cinder is basically a collage of the fighting talent of everyone to have ever linked the First Flame. This is reflected in its moveset, as it boasts sorceries, a spear, a bow and arrow, miracles and a giant long sword. In its second phase, it channels the soul of Lord Gwyn, the first to ever link the First Flame, in a last ditch desperation attempt to defeat the player.
6. Seeking out the Undead Queen Annalise, this boss is fought on the rooftop of Forsaken Castle Cainhurst in "Bloodborne".

Answer: Martyr Logarius

The fight with Logarius starts off slow, as a cutscene before it begins shows him seemingly awakening and gathering his sea legs in the first phase. Here, he will sluggishly move around the boss area, slinging powerful spells at the player. When he gets down to roughly 70% of his health, however, Logarius will shake off the rust and fully come alive.

He will now become more melee oriented with his intimidatingly large scythe. He will float and fly around the area, trying to slam or charge into the player with his weapon.

His deadliest attack is also showcased when he hits around half his health, as he will pull out a broad sword with a bright red aura and stick it in the ground. If the player does not shoot or attack the sword, it will shine a bright magical energy and cause a storm of magical daggers to fly all around the boss area.
7. Obsesses over a 'child of dragons' called Ocelotte, this optional boss is seen in "Dark Souls 3".

Answer: Oceiros the Consumed King

A masterful cutscene with beautiful voice acting from William Houston shows a relatively slow, unimposing Oceiros caressing what is likely an imaginary baby in his arms. After he gets to about 80% health, it seems that the player has knocked enough sense into him to make him realize he doesn't actually have a baby in his arms as he seemed to think.

This sudden realization will prompt him to go absolutely wild, doing a complete 180 degree turn from passive and unimposing to getting down on all fours and going wild charging at the player.
8. A PvP boss found inside Drangleic Castle of "Dark Souls 2".

Answer: Looking Glass Knight

The Looking Glass Knight will fight the player one on one until it reaches about half its health. When this happens, it will retreat to the opposite end of the battlefield from wherever it happens to be, and it will try to summon forth help. This "help" can potentially be another real life player; if another player with a comparable Soul Memory stat has an active summon sign anywhere inside Drangleic Castle, the Looking Glass Knight will shuffle players who have met this criteria and randomly choose one of them to appear as an adversary for the player fighting the knight.

This means that the Looking Glass Knight has one of the most widely varied difficulty in the game; he could summon a player who is absolutely terrible at the game and proves a pushover, but he could also summon a total God at the game who proceeds to stomp the challenging player into the ground.
9. The second boss of the first world in "Demon's Souls", this boss is most known for its entrance, where it kills a Fat Official before challenging the player to a duel.

Answer: Penetrator

Penetrator has arguably the best entrance in the entire game, and one of the better cutscenes across From Software games. Taking a 'no holds barred' approach as he cuts down the prankster Fat Official, Penetrator is very aggressive, deals a lot of damage and has a grab attack to keep greatshield users honest.
10. The only boss in "Dark Souls 3" who can consistently be killed in any one hit, even an unarmed strike, this boss is found at Archdragon Peak.

Answer: Ancient Wyvern

For such a mighty, imposing dragon, it'd probably come as a surprise to any new player that a simple fist to the face - literally - will kill in one fell swoop. The player is intended to ignore the Wyvern initially, instead making for a temple building positioned to the right of the dragon.

The player must kill or evade a series of enemies in the temple, make their way to the roof of the temple where they'll be elevated over the Wyvern. Once here, the player must carefully jump off the roof and land on the Wyvern's head with a plunging attack. If done correctly, the Wyvern will be immediately killed. If the player messes up, however, they are almost definitely done for due to how high up the roof is, causing a lethal fall if the player misses the head.
11. A legendary Knight of Gwyn who walked the Abyss, this boss is found in the DLC of "Dark Souls 1".

Answer: Knight Artorias

Artorias is extremely aggressive, hitting incredibly hard and being adept at catching panic rolls. Artorias is easily the best boss in the game at punishing passive play; every 90 seconds he will retreat a little and charge Abyssal power that will permanently provide a significant boost to his power. As such, he must be defeated quickly lest he build enough power to overwhelm the player.
12. Hunters of "Bloodborne" will surely recall this iconic DLC boss, who liberated us from our 'wild curiosity' in the "Old Hunters" DLC pack.

Answer: Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower

Rivaling only Father Gasciogne and Gehrman the First Hunter for most iconic cutscene in the game, Lady Maria has the stats and arsenal to back it up. Lady Maria is very agile from start to finish, boasting the powerful Rakuyo. At 70% health, she will begin to add Bloodtinge to her attacks, and further supplements this with Fire damage at roughly 40% health.

These buffs in tandem will threaten to straight up one-shot the player with her harder hitting attacks. She can, however, be both parried and staggered easily, giving the player ample counter play but forcing them to be careful in execution.
13. The real name of Godfrey the First Elden Lord, he reveals his true identity to the player during their final conflict at the Elden Throne as he transitions to second phase.

Answer: Hoarah Loux, Warrior

"I've given thee courtesy enough, Tarnished. Now I fight as Hoarah Loux, Warrior!" He will say, as he ungrafts the lion from his shoulder and removes the limitation to his power. During this phase, he adds several grab attacks, fast jabs and, of course, his signature Earthbreaker attack which cannot be blocked nor deflected by a shield
14. The very final boss of the "Ringed City" DLC, this man seeks out the Dark Soul of man and confronts the player to try and forcefully take their own soul. He had previously been an ally to the player.

Answer: Slave Knight Gael

With three lengthy phase, Gael having the third-highest HP and second-highest physical defense of any boss in the game means that this fight will greatly test the player's endurance. He is certainly not passive, as his repertoire expands with each new phase, threatening to overwhelm the player with how much they'll have to keep track of.
15. Arguably the most disgusting entrance for a boss ever, the final boss of the DLC of "Bloodborne" is quite literally born right in front of the player's eyes in the Fishing Hamlet.

Answer: Orphan of Kos

Orphan of Kos is inarguably the most aggressive boss in the game, and is up there for one of the harder ones as well. With incredible speed and high damage output, the only weakness it has is that it can be parried and backstabbed throughout the entirety of the fight- if the player is somehow able to match its sheer agility with their own reflexes to take advantage.
