Mega Smash is a badge that is found on the west side inside a cracked wall that must be blown up with Bombette. It is a pink hammer with a spike on both flat ends. It costs three Badge Points to equip and will deal tons of damage with executed, about eight to twelve points of damage, depending on whether Mario executes the action command properly or not. It is the hammer equivalent of the Mega Jump badge.

Damage Dodge is a badge that looks like a purple diamond. It can be found in a treasure chest on Mt. Rugged, and can also be bought by Rowf in Toad Town after Chapter 5 for 150 coins. Costing three Badge Points to equip, when Mario executes the guard action command correctly, the damage he takes will be decreased even further by one point, so the damage he takes will be reduced by two damage points.

It is one of the most useful badges, especially since it only costs 3 Badge Points. It appears again in "Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door".

Costing only one Badge Point, Spin Smash is a hammer badge which looks like a blue hammer with a spiral on the flat ends. The badge must be bought in Toad Town at Rowf's Badge Shop. If the action command is executed properly, the hammer will knock the target backward into the next enemy, dealing minor damage to the second enemy. The attack costs two Flower Points to use in battle when the badge is equipped.

If an enemy is so weak that it no longer gives Mario any Star Points, then if the badge is equipped, costing one Badge Point, and Mario lands the first strike outside of battle, the enemy will be instantly defeated without Mario even entering a battle with it.

If Mario hits the tree by the overpass with his hammer, a springboard will fall down that Mario can jump on to get launched into the tree.

In the tree is a treasure chest that contains this badge.

Triple Dip is a better version of the Double Dip badge. It looks like the head of a rose with a white '3' imprinted on it. This can be found in a secret part of a room in the Crystal Palace, which can be entered by blowing up a wall with Bombette in the top-right corner of the room with the mirror that rotates when the red switch is hit.

In "Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door", this badge does not exist, but the same effect can be created by equipping both Double Dip badges that are obtainable.

When there are two Double Dip badges equipped, it will still be called Triple Dip in battle.
