Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is different about Nekomaru once he joins the group at the beginning of chapter four?

Answer: He's a robot

Monokuma refuses to say exactly what happened to Nekomaru in the previous chapter. However, introduces a new and improved Nekomaru to the group, a Nekomaru robot. The new Nekomaru comes equipped with all kinds of features and gadgets like an internal clock. Nekomaru is just like any other student. He can be murdered or murder and must also follow all of the rules everyone else does.
2. What is the special prize the students receive for riding the roller coaster?

Answer: A dossier about the students from the previous game

Fourth Island is a large amusement park that houses many amenities. Among them is a roller coaster. Monokuma challenges all of the remaining students to ride the chaotic roller coaster in order to receive a prize. Although some students admit fear, they all do it. Monokuma hands over a dossier about the six surviving students from the first game.

The dossier is inscribed with the same logo found on the ruins, leading them to believe these six students are part of the Future Foundation and are responsible for the killing school trip.

In addition, they notice the photo of Byakuya Togami does not resemble the Byakuya who was on the island with them and was murdered in the first chapter.
3. The two houses that make up the funhouse are named for which two fruits?

Answer: Strawberry and grape

The two houses are Strawberry House and Grape House, both of which as decorated from top to bottom with their respective fruits. Each building has three floors that are more or less identical in layout. However, the bottom floor of Strawberry House has a place called the Final Dead Room that, when completed, will provided that person with an ultimate weapon.

For his fourth motive, Monokuma locks all nine students the funhouse until one of them commits a murder. They have no food, no sense of time other than a clock in each house and are the senses are played with from the confusing and irritating colors of the building.
4. Where is Nekomaru's body found?

Answer: In the tower

Specifically, the girls and Hajime discovered Nekomaru's body in Grape Tower when they entered for the mandatory Monokuma tai chi. Nekomaru's cause of death was unclear but he lost a lot of oil/blood. A heavy pillar in the room was damaged but it was much too sturdy for even Nekomaru to destroy on his own.
5. What excuse did the boys (except for Hajime) give for being late not attending Monokuma Tai Chi?

Answer: The elevator was broken

Everyone must attend Monokuma tai chi every morning in Grape Tower. While Hajime and the girls arrive on time (or so they believe), the other boys (Kazuichi, Gundham, Fuyuhiko and Nagito) fail to show up. They phone from Strawberry House to notify the others of the broken elevator which prevents them from traveling to Grape House until Kazuichi can fix it. Hajime informs them of Nekomaru's murder and Fuyuhiko tells him they will investigate what they can in the mean time.
6. What was the ultimate weapon received for completing the Final Dead Room?

Answer: Knowledge about the shape of the funhouse

The Final Dead Room is a small escape room-type place. Anyone who completes the Final Dead Room will receive the ultimate weapon. While there is a fully stocked arsenal containing every weapon imaginable, the ultimate weapon is the knowledge of the funhouse's layout.

Previously, the students believed Strawberry House and Grape House were two different buildings connected in the center by the tower. In reality, Strawberry House and Grape House are actually the same building with Strawberry House being the top three floors and Grape House, the bottom three. In addition, anyone who completes the Final Dead Room will be granted the ability to travel between houses without the elevator.
7. What is the grand prize for completing the Final Dead Room on the hardest level?

Answer: Student profiles

At the end of the Final Dead Room, a student must play Russian roulette. It is up to him or her to decide how many bullets to put in the six-bullet chamber. If the student loads the gun with the maximum of five bullets and survives, he or she will receive a book of student profiles which provides information on all sixteen students on the Killing School Trip. Nagito is desperate to get his hands on this as he is obsessed with knowing who among them the Future Foundation's plant is and what Hajime's ultimate talent is.
8. How many people completed the Final Dead Room?

Answer: Two

Nagito and Gundham both completed the Final Dead Room. Gundham completed the game first. However, he only loaded one bullet into the gun. Nagito completed it after the murder and loaded five bullets and survived. Hajime attempted to enter the Final Dead Room but Chiaki stopped him, saying it wasn't worth the risk.
9. Gundham gave himself away as the murderer when he said what?

Answer: That he heard the alarm for Monokuma tai chi

Gundham attempted to throw off the time of Nekomaru's murder by setting the clocks in both houses forward. As a result, everyone was late for Monokuma tai chi except for Nekomaru whose robogear came with an internal clock. When the alarm for Monokuma tai chi rang, it was actually well past that time.

Gundham earned one of four luxurious rooms that were equally divided between both houses. Nagito and Sonia, who were both sleeping in luxurious rooms, failed to hear both the alarm and the loud thud that occurred earlier. The students determined that the luxurious rooms were soundproof. However, Gundham said he heard the alarm and Fuyuhiko confirmed that Gundham ran out into the hallway when it rang. This meant that Gundham was not in his bedroom when he claimed he was and was also expecting the alarm to blare out.
10. How did Gundham activate Nekomaru's good night button?

Answer: With the aid of his Dark Devas of Destruction

Gundham is the Ultimate Breeder of animals and he takes care of four hamster whom he claims are dark devas temporarily taking the form of hamsters. Because the group was starving, Gundham tricked Nekomaru into a duel where one would kill the other to spare the rest. Gundham outmaneuvered the physically stronger Nekomaru by training one of his hamsters to press Nekomaru's good night button at the back of his neck.

He then tied Nekomaru upside and sent the tower floor to the bottom. When Nekomaru woke up, he found himself hanging from the doorknob of Grape Tower. He panicked, wriggled himself around and fell to the bottom of the tower. He died when his head hit a pillar.

Before his execution, Gundham denies killing Nekomaru for a greater good. However, it is clear from his demeanor that he did, in fact, do so.
