Not including golden bananas from DK Isles, all of the Kongs could have received seventy five golden bananas prior to entering this level. In the next level, Fungi Forest, fifty golden bananas are needed to enter.

Answer: Candy Kong

Candy Kong provides an increase of musical energy from ten instruments to fifteen instruments. Only one Kong has to pay five banana coins for everyone to receive the upgrade. Funky and Cranky Kong will provide upgrades in the next level, Fungi Forest.

In Fungi Forest, Cranky will provide a universal potion called Super Simian Slam and Funky will provide a universal homing missile upgrade. Candy does not provide any upgrade in Fungi Forest.

Answer: Donkey Kong

In order for Donkey Kong to race the seal, he must set him free first. That can be done by having Donkey entering the lighthouse and pulling the lever on top. The lever will release the cage with the seal with it. Donkey can earn three golden bananas from this.

He earns one from pulling the lever in the lighthouse, he receives another for saving the seal, and he gets his third from beating the seal in a two lap race.

All of the pearls are hidden inside giant clams in a treasure chest. Tiny would have to enter her Kong barrel so she can become small enough to enter the treasure chest. Tiny must then return to the mermaid to give her pearls back, a golden banana will be awarded after the transaction.

Answer: Lanky Kong

As Enguarde, Lanky Kong can open treasure chests underwater which contains bananas, banana coins, and a golden banana for Lanky. Lanky can also jump out of the water through a DK star three times to open an additional area of the level. The only other Kong that can transform into another animal is Donkey Kong as Rambi the rhinoceros in the first level, Jungle Japes.

Answer: Chunky Kong

Inside the pirate ship, Chunky Kong must dodge firing cannonballs until he reaches a cage. He must then use Primate Punch to break the cage and inside are five spinning barrels with Chunky's face on it. Chunky must then use Primate Punch on each of the barrels hitting his face logo.

When all of the barrels break, a golden banana will appear. After he gets the golden banana, Chunky will get dizzy and must exit the pirate ship dizzy. This makes it more difficult to dodge the cannonballs since Chunky cannot jump when he is dizzy.

There is a Kong pad for Diddy to use on top of the pirate ship but Diddy does not go inside the pirate ship to get the golden banana. The golden banana appears on the roof of the lighthouse which Diddy gets there via flying.

Donkey Kong's blueprint is located on top of a tower that only Diddy Kong can get to using Simian Spring. After Diddy gets his golden banana at the top of the tower, the bananaport will appear. Donkey can then use the bananaport and get his blueprint.

To release the mechanical fish from his cage underwater, Diddy Kong must use the guitar pad on top of the lighthouse. Diddy then has ninety seconds to get inside the mechanical fish. Inside Diddy must shoot at three targets on the fish's heart. If Diddy takes too long, the inside of the fish would flood Diddy out and he must start over again.

The Kongs must find exactly half of the available bananas in this level to fight the boss for Gloomy Galleon; every level contains 500 bananas for the Kongs to find. The next level, Fungi Forest, will require 300 bananas to fight that boss.

Answer: It is the only boss where you battle on a boat

Lanky Kong gets to fight the giant pufferfish boss on a boat. He must drive through four DK stars to damage the boss. Lanky must do this five times to defeat the boss and win the boss key.
