Donkey Kong Goes 64 Trivia Quiz

Tiny Kong is the younger sister of Dixie Kong who made her debut in "Donkey Kong Country 2" for the Super Nintendo. Meanwhile, Chunky Kong is Kiddy Kong's older brother who made his debut in "Donkey Kong Country 3" for the Super Nintendo and Lanky Kong seems to be the black sheep of the family with no real past to him.

It would seem that K. Lumsy has been locked up because he was way too kind and gentle for K. Rool's liking and it is up to the Kong's to find the keys that open up all the locks on K. Lumsy's cell. After each lock you unlock K. Lumsy will bounce around with joy and doing so will cause other levels to open up around the island.

You only need 60 of either of the coloured bananas but with each new level the number of bananas increases as does the difficulty of the boss. Each Kong has bananas colour-coded for them, Donkey has yellow, Diddy has red, Tiny has purple, Lanky has blue and Chunky has green.

In previous Donkey Kong games Funky would provide transport for the Kongs whether it was by land, sea or air but in "Donkey Kong 64" he is the Kong you go to when you are looking for some artillery. As well as guns he will also upgrade your ammo supply and give you access to heat seeking bullets.

Scoff is the hippo who you must feed bananas to so you can open the boss door in each level. Troff is a pink pig who unlocks the door for you once Scoff has eaten enough bananas.

Seeing as he is the star of the game it would only be fitting that he has the most boss fights in the game. He fights Armydillo both in Jungle Japes and Crystal Cave, helps the other Kong's against the K. Rool cardboard cut-out, then fights in the first round against King K. Rool himself.

All five of the Kongs get a chance at K. Rool in a boxing ring although he is the only one actually wearing boxing gloves. Each Kong must use their special abilities to put the hurting on K. Rool with Donkey Kong fighting first followed by Diddy, Lanky, Tiny and Chunky.

There are actually 201 bananas in total throughout the game with the secret banana given to you by the Banana Fairy Queen once you have captured all the other banana fairies in each level. The ending sequence will be extended if you manage to collect everything and beat the game.

In each level there is a K. Rool pad that you can activate and take part in a arena battle against many enemies. If you manage to win on the first pad you encounter in Jungle Japes then you will receive a crown item and the multiplayer mode will be selectable from the menu screen.

In his second starring role, Diddy Kong burnt rubber in "Diddy Kong Racing" which featured him as well as some of his other animal friends as they took on the evil Wizpig. Amongst the racers was also Banjo who would go on to star in "Banjo-Kazooie" and Conker who would star in "Conker's Bad Fur Day".
