Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many golden bananas are required to enter Angry Aztecs?

Answer: Five

At this point in the game both Donkey and Diddy Kong could have collected a total of eleven golden bananas but only five are needed to enter Angry Aztecs. In the next world, Frantic Factory, the number of golden bananas needed to enter will be fifteen.
2. Who frees Lanky Kong and from where?

Answer: Donkey Kong in the Llama Temple

Lanky Kong is locked up underneath a pool of lava which is inside the front of the temple. Donkey Kong can not free him until he finds his bongo pad in the temple where he has to play his bongos. After that, the lava will turn into water and Donkey can swim inside through the opening.

After that he just has to shoot a coconut switch in front of Lanky's gate and that will free him and award Donkey a golden banana.
3. How does Diddy Kong set Tiny Kong free?

Answer: Using Chimpy Charge on various switches spelling out the word "Kong"

In the area where Tiny Kong is in The Palace, there are four different switches. Each one is a different letter which when put together, spells out the word "Kong". Diddy must use Chimpy Charge to activate each switch. First, Diddy must defeat all of the enemies inside that area before the switches can even accept Diddy's Chimpy Charge.
4. What must Tiny Kong purchase before she is able to race the scarab beetle?

Answer: The saxophone and the Mini Monkey potion

The scarab beetle lives inside the Gong Tower which is underground until Diddy Kong uses Chimpy Charge on four gongs that will raise the tower. The tower is too tall for Tiny to climb and she would need assistance. She has to use her saxophone on the saxophone pad to call for a parrot that will fly her up to the top of the tower.

She is too big for the parrot to pick up though. That is when the potion comes to use, Tiny must jump in her barrel and shrink in size. She must play the saxophone again on the saxophone pad as a smaller version of herself.

The parrot will then fly her to the top of the tower where she can enter to find the scarab beetle.
5. What musical instrument does Lanky Kong purchase from Candy Kong?

Answer: Trombone

Each Kong can purchase their own unique instrument from Candy Kong. They only have to buy one instrument for each of them but she does offer upgrades for all of the Kongs that only one Kong has to purchase. She also offers extra life for all of the Kongs in the form of melons, each Kong starts out with one in the game, in Angry Aztecs she will offer an extra one with the purchase of their instruments. Like with the upgrades, only one Kong has to purchase the extra melon for all of them.

The third melon is offered in the sixth world, Crystal Caverns.
6. What potion does Chunky Kong purchase from Cranky Kong in Angry Aztecs?

Answer: He does not do this

Chunky Kong is not seen when you first enter this world, Lanky Kong frees him in the next world Frantic Factory. There, Chunky can buy two potions, Primate Punch and Hunky Chunky. Gorilla Gone will be available for him in the sixth world, Crystal Caverns.
7. Are there any extra Bananaports other than the usual five that are seen in every world, with the exception of Hideout Helm, in Angry Aztecs?

Answer: Yes, there are two in the Llama Temple

In the Llama Temple there is a small passageway that only Tiny Kong can enter. Inside is a puzzle that she can solve for a golden banana. Also in that same area is a Kasplat that has a blueprint for Lanky Kong. The only way Lanky can get in is via Bananaport. The other Bananaport takes the Kongs from the entrance of the Llama Temple to the opposite side of the temple.
8. Which Kong is the one that reveals the switches that allows all of the Kongs to enter the Temple of Doors?

Answer: Diddy Kong

Diddy Kong has to do three things before this will happen. He must first purchase the Rocketbarrel Boost potion from Cranky Kong in this world. He must then jump into a Diddy barrel and fly to the top of the Temple of Doors. He then must use Simian Slam on the Diddy pad on the roof of the temple. That will activate a totem pole in the center of that area and he will say "feed me". Diddy must get back in the barrel and fly up to the totem pole and shoot peanuts in his mouth while the totem pole is spinning.

After shooting at it in the mouth enough, the totem pole will stop spinning and the switches will appear on the Temple of Doors.
9. Which of the following bonus barrel games can not be found in Angry Aztecs?

Answer: "Peril Path Panic!"

Donkey Kong plays "Stealthy Snoop", which is located past some hot sand in a cave that will only open when Donkey uses Simian Slam on a Donkey pad in the Llama Temple. To get past the hot sand, Donkey has to jump in his barrel using Strong Kong. Using Strong Kong, Donkey becomes invincible and the hot sand will not damage him.

Lanky Kong plays "Teetering Turtle Trouble", which is located inside the Llama Temple. He must first play his trombone on the trombone pad in the Llama Temple. Two giant snake heads will then rise from the water connecting each other, at the top is the bonus barrel. He must use Orangstand to get up there.

Chunky Kong plays "Kremling Kosh!", which is located in his door in the Temple of Doors.
10. How many bananas must the Kongs give to Troff and Scoff before they can unlock the door that leads to the boss of Angry Aztecs?

Answer: 120

The boss for this level is a giant dragonfly named Dodagon. Diddy Kong will be the one fighting him. In order to defeat Dodagon, Diddy must throw a dynamite barrel at him while he sits down. Diddy must do this three times. Dodagon will be flying around shooting fireballs at Diddy. Dodagon will be seen again as the boss in the fifth world, Fungi Forest, Chunky Kong will be the one fighting him then.
