Swim across to the rainy island and you will meet K. Lumsy, imprisoned there by K. Rool. After you agree to find the keys to release him, he becomes very excited and jumps up and down. This causes shockwaves to blast open the entrance to the first level. It also reveals your first golden banana.
At this stage you cannot shoot the switch as you have no weapons, and you have yet to receive the simian slam from Cranky. The Primate Punch is another potion, but it is only available to Chunky.

2. You explore the Isles and find a few small islands and K. Rool's ship, which crashed into Donkey Kong Island. You also notice several pads with numbers on them. What are these pads called?

Answer: Bananaports

The bananaports come in pairs and are numbered accordingly. To activate a bananaport, you must run over both ports in the pair. You are then able to teleport instantly across from one place to another.

3. How many golden bananas are hidden for each Kong to find in Donkey Kong Isles?

Answer: Five

Some are easy to find and retrieve, but others can only be accessed after you have progressed further through the game. Some require the help of several Kongs working as a team to collect the banana.

It is possible to gain a special golden banana as well but to do this you need to complete a special mission. This giant banana features a Rareware logo on it instead of the usual Nintendo logo.

4. Near the waterfall there is a golden banana in a cage with a pineapple switch above it. Which Kong is able to grab this banana?

Answer: Chunky

Chunky is trapped in the third level: Frantic Factory, so it will take a little while before you can get this easy banana. You will also need to buy his pineapple launcher from Funky's Armory.

After Tiny Kong has the Mini Monkey move from Cranky, swim over to the island shaped like a banana fairy's head, jump in the barrel to become small and run inside the building. Talk to the Fairy Queen and she will give you the camera.

6. Most of the fairies have escaped into the various levels of the game, but some have stayed in the Isles. How many are here to be found?

Answer: Four

Near the Fairy Queen's island is a small island with a single palm tree on it. One fairy is flying around the top of this tree. She is the easiest fairy to find.

The others can be found in a crate in the entrance to Frantic Factory, near the ceiling of the Fungi Forest entrance chamber, and at the very top of K. Rool's mechanical boat.

7. One of Diddy's golden bananas is at the very top of the waterfall. How can the little guy get up there?

Answer: Rocket barrel jetpack

For this Diddy will need to get the jetpack potion from Cranky. Get Chunky to move the boulders near the Angry Aztecs entrance to reveal a music pad under one of them. After Lanky plays his trombone, Sqwarks will reveal Diddy's rocket jetpack barrel. But you cannot access this barrel until after the fourth level is completed.

K. Rool has broken up the blueprints for his secret weapon and given the pieces to his Kasplat Kremlings to guard. In each level as in DL Isles there are five Kasplats, one for each Kong. They won't give up their blueprints easily though; you need to kill them first. Once you have a blueprint, take it to Snide who will trade it for a golden banana.

9. Where is the entrance to Gloomy Galleon?

Answer: Underwater at the base of K. Rool's boat

After you have gained the second key from Dogadon, (the boss guarding the second key) the entrances to both Frantic Factory and Gloomy Galleon are opened. Swim over to the castle and dive down to gain access to the tunnel entrance.

10. How do you access the entrance to the final level, Hideout Helm?

Answer: Through the jaws of K. Rool's boat

After winning the boss keys from Crystal Caves and Creepy Castle, the mechanical jaws on K. Rool's boat open. At the very bottom of the boat is a pad to teleport Tiny to the top. With a flick of her hair she can then jump across.
