Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Your first step is to create your character. You have seven attributes with set numbers depending on race and class then a further number to increase attributes of your choice. Which of the following is NOT an 'EverQuest 1' attribute?

Answer: Fortitude

Stamina is used rather then Fortitude. It is the attribute used to decide your hit points and resistances to poisons. It is the main attribute for Warriors who rely on a vast amount of hit points to survive.
2. Once your first character is ready to play, you enter the world of Norrath. You will want to meet players for help in your zone and chat. You open up by saying 'Anyone from England?' using the /OOC channel. What does O.O.C. stand for?

Answer: Out of character

Out of Character is used in most online games; it is used when you ask a question that is not related directly to your character. Asking information on a subject outside the game will be entered in this channel.
3. If you have a question for a specific player that you only want them to hear, what chat command should be used?

Answer: /tell

Only by using /tell can two players talk without others seeing. /say can be used but all people in the nearby vicinity will hear what your character is saying.
4. You are almost level 10 and in a group. A more experienced player on his second character is in your group and suggests to the party they should head North to Crushbone. What channel will he address the party with?

Answer: /group

/group is used to speak to all members who are in your party. /raid is for High end characters when more then one group engage in battle with a difficult quest.
5. In Crushbone you face many orcs but the most infamous foe here was a Dark Elf. Who was this feared backstabber?

Answer: Ambassador D'Vinn

Ambassador D'Vinn did not come about as often as the other enemies, but his backstab could take out most characters in one hit. He could be found in the Tower behind the Throne Room.
6. When creating your character you will get an option to chose a Deity, each of whom created part of Norrath. Which of the following was the Deity of Nature?

Answer: Tunare

Cazic Thule is the Deity of Fear and all followers must create fear to all others or face Cazic's wrath. Karana is the Deity of storms and the elements, his followers are generally Nomads and hunters whom spend much of their time in the open. Solusek Ro is known also as the Burning Prince.

His followers are true to their word, say what they mean and do what they say, and as deity of fire he brings elemental destructive powers. Therefore he brings many wizards to his fold. Followers of Tunare are nearly all Elves who seek to protect all nature as they believe all life comes from their goddess.
7. When a spell cast by a player delivers high amounts of damage in one cast it is known as a what?

Answer: Nuke

Wizards are the most notorious for Nukes, the Wizard Nuke can deliver more damage then any other character. Damage done all at once is also known a Direct Damage.
8. Half Elf Characters and Wood Elf Characters have almost the identical choices in which classes they can be. Ranger, Bard, Druid, Warrior and Rogue are these choices. However Half Elves have another Class available to them that Wood Elves do not. Which one is it?

Answer: Paladin

The Half Elf is a cross race of Human and Wood Elf and although not shunned by their two mother races they are not truley welcome either. Excepted by the humans of Qeynos and of Freeport, and the Wood Elves of Kelethin most Half Elves begin their adventures within these cities.

However the few that decide to follow the path of a paladin are excepted among the ranks of the High Elves of Felwithe, where the Half elf race is least tolerated amongst the races of good.
9. What is the starting city of the Dwarves called?

Answer: Kaladim

Kaladim is set into a mountain situated at the north west of Butcherblock Mountains. The Dwarves are considered tougher and sturdier then any other race, so burly that even the females grow beards.
10. As a Warrior, I am asked to join a group to battle the Undead of Unrest, I make my way through Butcherblock Mountains to the south where I zone into a long deep chasm that continues down for some while, it is in this zone that I will find the entrance to Unrest. What zone am I in?

Answer: Dagnor's Cauldron

Dagnor's Cauldron is mainly home to Tidal Goblins, much tougher then their counterparts in Butcherblock Mountains. You enter from the north from which you scurry around the cliffs over a large lake till you reach the south where a cave in the cliff side takes you to the infamous Unrest.
