1. In what order are the Elemental Fiends fought?

Answer: The Lich, Marilith, The Kraken, Tiamat

The bosses are fought in this order, The Lich, Marilith, The Kraken, Tiamat. The Lich is found in the Cavern of Earth, Marilith in Mt. Gulg, the Kraken in the Sunken Shrine, and Tiamat in the Floating Fortress.

2. What is the strongest weapon in the NES version?

Answer: Excalibur

The Rapier is the strongest weapon at the BEGINNING of the game. The Great Axe is found in the Giant's Cave, north of the Cavern of Earth, and the Sun Blade is in the Mirage Tower. To get the Excalibur, you must obtain the adamantite from the Floating Fortress.

3. What is the Black Belt's (Monk's in the "Dawn of Souls" version) evolution?

Answer: Master

The Warrior evolves into a Knight, the Thief evolves into a Ninja, and the Black Mage evolves into a Black Wizard. Each of these classes are obtained after getting the key item from the Citadel of Trials.

4. What dungeon must be completed and what item must be obtained in order to evolve your characters?

Answer: Citadel of Trials, Rats Tail

At the end of the Citadel of Trials, you obtain a Rat's Tail that you must take to the dragon king, Bahamut, and he will upgrade your characters to be more powerful. These upgrades allow you to equip stronger weapons and armor.

5. In the "Dawn of Souls" version, what dungeon does defeating the Kraken unlock?

Answer: Lifespring Grotto

Earthgift Shrine is available once you kill the Lich, Hellfire Chasm when you kill Marilith, and Whisperwind Cove when you kill Tiamat. These dungeons cannot be exited once entered.

6. Which boss from Earthgift Shrine drops a Bard's Tunic?

Answer: 2-Headed Dragon

Ahriman drops a Dry Ether, Cerberus drops a Kotetsu, and Echidina drops an X-Potion. All of these bosses come from "Final Fantasy III".

This may have a connection to how all the elves in Elfheim/Elfland appear to be similar to Link from the "Legend of Zelda" series. This was an easter egg to find in the course of the game.

You go to Crescent Lake after defeating the Lich. If you speak to the man to the right of Lukahn, he will give you a canoe. The canoe is used to access Mt. Gulg.

9. What is the first key item you obtain in the game?

Answer: Lute

The lute is obtained after you defeat Garland and escort Sarah back to Cornelia. It is used in the final dungeon, the Temple of Chaos, which is really two thousand years before Garland was killed.

10. Which of these bosses is NOT featured in Lifespring Grotto?

Answer: Orthros

Gilgamesh, Omega, and Atomos are all bosses from "Final Fantasy V" and are featured in Lifespring Grotto. Orthros is featured as a boss from "Final Fantasy VI" and is found in Whisperwind Cove.
