There is a stronger level 8 spell similar to RUB that is called XXXX, which affects all enemies on screen. XXXX is sold in the town of Gaia.

The white magic spell ARUB can protect your party from enemies who use RUB against you.

Answer: BANE

BANE is a level 5 spell and can be purchased from the town of Melmond. It is a spell that can one hit kill several enemies. BANE can also inflict poison on a few enemies. The Bane Sword can be found in the Floating Castle and has the same effect as the spell.

The object in the photograph is a plant known as wolf's bane. In D.C. Comics, Bane is a nemesis of Batman who uses a substance known as venom to increase his muscle mass.

AICE is a level 4 white magic spell sold at the town of Elfland. AICE (think of it as Anti-Ice) protects your party from enemies who use ice based weapons and magic. There is also ALIT and AFIR, which protect against lightning and fire respectively.

PURE is a level 4 spell which is sold at the town of Melmond. PURE will instantly cure any party member of poisoning. You can also cure an ally of poisoning by purchasing PURE potions from item shops, which cost 75 Gil per bottle.

SLEP is a spell that will put an enemy to sleep for a few turns. The level 1 SLEP spell can be purchased from the shop in Corneria. SLP2 is a level 4 spell and can be purchased from Elfland. SLP2 can only hit one enemy per turn, but has a higher success rate. The lower level SLEP can affect all enemies on screen with a lower success rate.

SOFT is a level 6 white magic spell sold at Crescent Lake. It will instantly heal any party member who has been turned to stone. Before obtaining the SOFT spell, you can cure petrification by purchasing SOFT potions for 800 Gil per bottle.

Answer: QAKE

QAKE is a level 6 black magic spell sold at the town of Crescent Lake. It is an earth-based spell that opens chasms beneath enemies in the hopes of sending them falling to their doom. It does not work against flying or water based enemies or on enemies resistant to instant death spells. The photograph is of a seismograph which measures the strength of an earthquake.

Answer: NUKE

NUKE is a level 8 black magic spell that can be purchased in the town of Lefein. The shop is not even in the main town as you have to walk between two trees in the northeast part of town to get to it. It is one of the strongest black magic spells in the game.

It has to potential to deal 400HP damage to enemies. While it's name may imply it is a fire based spell, NUKE is actually non-elemental.
